3.9 · 23 reviewsI met with the staff at Avid Care Cottages - Conroe and we had a nice visit. She gave me the prices and everything. The staff was good and the marketing director was professional. It was an older building, but it was clean. It's not in a really good part of town. It was structurally probably sound, but there were no real updated amenities or anything like that. It's more of a comfortable, home setting. They can do a Hoyer lift and they can do a whole bedridden thing. They can do way more than assisted living. That facility is very, very generous.
My Mom is at AVID CARE COTTAGE’s in Conroe. Mom is in fact GOLD, and the care she’s receiving at Avid Care is exceptional. Great and attentive care, plus staff is exceptional, even assisting Mom with makeup and hair. She couldn’t do it by herself but staff steps in and helps her. I’m going to plan on providing something for each of the staff this Christmas. Mom’s been there probably over 3 years now.

Our family had an in person tour and the owner [name removed] had a very impressive background, she seemed very skilled and seemed to have top notch credentials. However since it was more of a homey like setting and smaller it just was not going to work with our loved one.
Overall we are happy with my loved one being here. There have been some bumpy roads during their stay; however, it was straightened out with the manager and staff.
My relative has been living at Avid Care Cottages for 3 years now. What I love most is that the staff is very attentive and provide excellent care! We have never had a problem there and the Administrator is always just a phone call away. She is great at training staff and acting as a liason for us with the doctor's office. We never have to worry about bringing medications or our loved one not having them on time. The facility is always kept clean and is well organized. Avid Care Cottages is the best decision we've made! I am so glad to have found them!
Avid Care Cottages is great and is a personal care home. The place is very nice and clean. The staff is great. My stepmother is bedbound so everything has to be done for her. Her room is small, but clean.
Avid Care Cottages was an old community and they had some construction going on. There were a lot of things I didn't like about it. The furnishing was very old, but I liked the layout. The rooms had baths in them. Some of the furnishings were tethered. It just didn't have the curb appeal. The administrator was knowledgeable. She is seasoned and she has three houses that she oversees. She was really on point with her knowledge and she said that she does trainings. They just need to upgrade their facility.
