4.8 · 22 reviewsMy mother moved to B&Y once we couldn't take care of her on our own. She suffered from dementia and incontinence, and the staff competently cared for her needs. We especially loved Florence as she took care of the residents like they were family. We were welcomed to visit any time, and during major holidays Florence would prepare a wonderful meal for residents and all ALL their family members. We are grateful for the time we had with her in B&Y's care.
Over the past four years I have placed three friends or family members with this facility, and we have been very pleased. Florence and Lucy are great care givers, and the other staff are very friendly and competent. We are happy to recommend B&Y Care Home.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home where [name removed] & [name removed]tended to my 93 yr old Dad. The home is 1 street over from where I live allowing me free & frequent access. Dad was so appreciative of not only the individualized attention but the love, conversation, & genuine friendship from everyone that worked there. Dad passed away in late 2023 in the same room where my Mom had lived & passed away in 2018. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this home where [name removed] & [name removed]tended to my 93 yr old Dad. The home is 1 street over from where I live allowing me free & frequent access. Dad was so appreciative of not only the individualized attention but the love, conversation, & genuine friendship from everyone that worked there. Dad passed away in late 2023 in the same room where my Mom had lived & passed away in 2018. When we first discovered this gem in late 2017, my Dad was needing to move Mom where she would get better care than the medium size assisted living facility where she had been. [name removed] was instrumental in guiding us through care & services that she needed as she was in her last few months of living 10 yrs w/Alzheimers. At that time, Dad lived close by & drove there every single day. Because of all he personally observed while Mom was living there, it was a no brainer that he chose the same home 5 years later for himself. Our entire family was twiced blessed!

My mom Madge Smith lived here for many years until she passed at the age of 93. I highly recommend it. The most loving caring staff I have ever witnessed. I couldn’t have ask for a better place.
My father lived at B&Y for over two years before his passing at the age of 95. We chose B&Y because of its warm family atmosphere, consistent staffing, and high staff to resident ratio. [names removed] and the rest of the caregivers were incredibly sweet and loving. They catered to his preferences such as how he liked his morning coffee and muffin and his favorite sandwich. My father became less ambulatory over the years, but they kept him safe, clean, comfortable and treated him with respect. The home was a blessing to our family during a difficult stage of life.

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the care of my Mom. The staff at B&Y Care Home did their very best to keep my Mom happy and comfortable. I appreciate that you listened and reacted to all our feedback. Taking care of seniors is a very, very difficult job and we are lucky that wonderful people like you take on this type of business. It takes a special type of person to do this work. I could never have taken care of my Mom like your staff did! My Mom was at B&Y Care Home for a year before she passed. I didn't rate Meals & Dining because I spoiled my Mom and brought her meals from her favorite restaurants everyday - she was a huge foodie! :) I also selected N/A for activities because my Mom was bed bound and unable to do activities. It was also during COVID so nothing could really go on. :(
