A place for mom is a wonderful organization. They helped me find a place for my brother in the san angelo tx area. They provided and set up appointments to see 3 different retirement communities. They helped with many things i needed help with, VA, personal care with Visiting angels.
This place has the most friendly residents and help you could ask for. We are very happy and content with our accommodations.
The menu doesn't change that much at all and food is very bland. They seem to have a hard time keeping serving staff on hand. They also close the cafe at times due to shortages and that doesn't help those that don't cook anymore. Considering that specific town and lack of choices I would still say it's the top place. My parents are getting so much more there than they did before moving. They are getting more exercise daily by walking to the cafe. They have so many friends now that it's better for them mentally because they are engaging in conversation more. They love the convenience of having…

They have so many friends now that it's better for them mentally because they are engaging in conversation more. They love the convenience of having a nurse or doctor during the week as well as a barber/beauty shop and free rides to/from medical appointments and once weekly to local store. Laundry on site too.
The friendliness of the staff should get 5+ stars. The staff is fantastic. The residents of the facility are all quite friendly. We pay for our meals, but they are very inexpensive. My wife and I really enjoy it here and highly recommend Baptist Retirement Community to other families based on the experience we have had so far
My loved one is in the independent living area. The people are really friendly, and so are all the workers. I think they are doing a great job. I would definitely recommend this community to others families.
Baptist Retirement Community was a very nice facility. They offered semi-private rooms. What I liked about the semi-private rooms is that the area that you're in is separated from your roommate by the bathroom. So, you actually get good privacy versus just a curtain. They do have multiple courtyard areas and multiple group meeting areas. The staff member. who gave me the tour was an amazing person. He was the administrative officer of the day, and he was awesome. They had the option of dining in your room with no additional fees associated.
It appears my sister is very happy there. Nice community - Everyone is really nice and welcoming. Common areas are very inviting especially the library. Lots of activities too!
We went to Baptist Retirement Community and toured both the high rise and also the residential duplexes. It was a great place to live. The tour was very enjoyable. The young lady that took us on the tour was very cordial and very informative. We did get an application, but we haven't gotten it filled out yet. The apartments were very nice, very good, and very up-to-date. If you rent one of the duplexes, they will come in and refurbish it to bring it back up to the standards of a nice new apartment. We had tried the food sometime ago. In fact, we ate over there a lot before COVID. I think they have great food. The dining area was great, and they say they have remodeled it. I haven't had a chance to see it since it has been remodeled, but they say it's a lot better than it was. It was an excellent place to eat. They have activities. The people I have known there through the years said they have a lot of activities that you can get involved in if you like to. If you don't, you can just kind of stay at home. I think it's very appealing. It's a very nice place. I met some people that we've known for a long time there. One gentleman lives in a home there. The staff during the tour is very well versed on all the information that you need. She didn't have to look around and try to figure it out. She already knew it. She's very good. The activities I've heard that they do there were great.
