I am the contact for my friend who was admitted here about 6 days ago, but I live out-of-state. I left a msg about 24 hours after admission for her nurse to ask about the plan, schedule, timeline or any care outline about her, but the nurse didn't call back. I have left 4 voice mail messages for the social worker who I am told is the person responsible for such things... 4 messages with no response. I called for the administrator, and the main number was answered at the nurses' station. I asked for the administrator, and the person said she would transfer me. I reached a no-name voice mail…

I reached a no-name voice mail and left yet another message. When my friend has called and begged me to get her out of this place, there was such wailing and crying in the background that I couldn't hear my friend talk. When she had visitors on the 4th day of her stay, she had no pants and no shoes and no one from the facility had let me know. I guess I have to give at least one star for Google to accept my review.
They set this facility up with the appeal of getting your business by greeting people with the most friendliest front staff to convince you to leave your loved ones. They show you all the amenities and weekly activities. But the staff who takes care of your loved ones are rude and do the bare minimum. Any questions asked are not answered. They are annoyed when you ask for assistance or help. The nursing staff is horrible and so are the hallway assistants. They spend most of their time sitting in the hallways and if you ask for help most of the time they tell you it’s not their job or they say…

Then this is the place for you. Don’t let the appearance of this place and its front staff fool you. Get to meet the actually people who will care for your loved ones. They keep them in the back for a reason. They are rude and do the bare minimum. ***Additional comment- My mom was there for wound care. When we asked the helper what cream she was applying she took out a tube of toothpaste. She had been applying toothpaste! When she was told it was toothpaste she said she didn’t know because the main nurse didn’t show her where the cream was she just assumed it was that tube. Another incident was my mom’s bed deflated on a Saturday, the nursing staff told us there was no maintenance done on the weekends. She was to sleep on it until Monday. Do not recommend this place. Looks are deceiving. Also my mom was denied services a couple of days after this post. They started the process of denying her appeals. At the discharge meeting we were given a binder and basically told figure it out.
My experience was positive all the way.
My mother-in-law lives here, and she has been taken care of with great pride. The facility calls me if she has had any accidents or any concerns. I would recommend any family member to Cheyenne.
Need more therap
Cheyenne medical lodge helped me 💯 % always and they do there thing God bless them
My father was here recently. The staff was wonderful! Everyone from the CNAs up treated him with dignity and respect. My father was in several places and this one shines bright compared to the others. The building is beautiful. They treated our whole family well.
This place did nothing that they said they would do when admitted for therapy. My mother was made to use the restroom in a diaper. It was humiliating to her. Never once took her to the restroom. Which she was there just to get stronger to keep transferring from wheelchair to toilet like she was doing before her hospital stay of 9 days. She was there 2+ weeks. After 10 days I had to tell them to give her a shower. She was prescribed a high protein snack in the evening which she never got. The call lights for patients needing something after 6 are constantly on. I brought it to lady at the nurses station attention and was told someone would get to them. They only had 2 aides. REALLY? The male head nurse during the day was awesome. The place spends a lot of money on appearance. That's the only positives.
