I chose Crestview for my Mom because of the warmth of the staff and the beautiful, well maintained facility. Now that she has lived in Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing I am even more impressed with the staff. The staff is kind, caring, and professional. She has experienced friendships, fun and stimulating activities, a chance to help and be involved in this community, and has truly felt at home here. I would choose Crestview all over again.
My family recently moved my mother from Arbor Oaks (Independent Living, where she had lived for 8 years) to Crestview (Assisted Living). Mom's experience at Arbor Oaks and now in Crestview has been wonderful! Good friends and community continue to be her favorite part of life there, and as she moved to her new Assisted Living apartment she has had many visits from friends, both old and new. When I asked her this week how it was going, she said, "I just love the residents, the food, the staff and all the activities!" Thank you all for making Crestview Retirement Community feel like HOME as my mom begins to need more help. Your staff has been responsive and personal, making every effort to make her transition smooth and the experience for our family very positive.
I wrote a beautiful review but for some reason it was taken down.
My parents are in the process of moving into Crestview. What even in the best of circumstances is a very emotional transition, the staff has been so incredibly lovely, helpful, and understanding. They respond to emails/questions promptly. The property is beautifully maintained and they've streamlined the registration process to make it smooth and yet retain the human/compassionate feel. I can't give the staff enough praise for not only making my parents feel cared for and welcome. But also, the rest of our family.
Crestview took excellent care of my dad for the 18 months he resided at the facility. Nurses and all staff were very attentive to my dad's needs. The facility is located approximately one block from St. Joseph's hospital and doctors on 29th St., which made Crestview the best choice for my dad. My dad was able to keep all of his doctors. Transportation is provided to and from doctor appointments, and shopping trips. The facility offers weekly housekeeping, on site laundry and salon services. Laundry and salon costs are extra. All meals and housekeeping are included in the rent. 24 hour nursing staff and 24 hour maintenance is also provided. The staff worked very closely with hospice when my dad required end of life care. The nursing staff are very good at notifying family of any falls or emergency situations regarding your loved one. Our family is very grateful to Crestview for everything they did for my dad during his time there. We would highly recommend Crestview for your loved one's care.
I toured Crestview Methodist Retirement Community. I talked to the lady who did the admitting, she was lovely, and very detailed in her talk, she took all of my information, and said she would get back to me. I went on a Friday and it was Monday when I got a call from a different lady that said she was sorry they were not in the skilled nursing area. They did not have a bed for him. That was a blessing because it was a lot further for me to drive. They had a semi-private room and a private room. The facility was beautiful.
I toured Crestview Methodist Retirement Community. It has an array of services all under one roof from independent living, assisted living, long-term care and memory care, and skilled nursing. Sometimes people have to transition. It's nice that they can transition within that place. The difference with Crestview is it is a nonprofit, which I like. Some of their funds go back into another fund that helps subsidize residents if they have to move to another level. It's very well managed, a beautiful place, and good upkeep of the grounds and whatnot. It's a pretty impressive place. It's big. The assisted living is on two floors, so you have an elevator involved. The room that I toured has an accommodation bedroom and a living room. It's more of like a little apartment and it was just spectacular. In most of the other rentals for a studio apartment, the price goes up according to the level of care you need, and here they don't do that. It's all-inclusive. They tell you upfront what kind of care you're going to get at assisted living.
We have friends who stay at Crestview Methodist Retirement Community, and we've heard good recommendations. The facility looks nice. They have a lot of amenities. They have a library, a dining room, an exercise room, a swimming pool, a card room, and a chapel. The staff members seemed very friendly and interested in taking care of the residents. I have tried their food, and it was good food.
