After our first visit to The Delaney, my wife and I knew this is the right place for my parents – the amenities, the facilities, and the staff are what my parents deserve. It took roughly two and half years to convince my folks that independent living at The Delaney was worth a try. Once my parents moved in, it took only a few minutes for them to feel right at home. We knew this not because it’s only 8 minutes away from us and the amenities and facilities are some of the finest anywhere, but because the entire staff cares for the residents as though they are their own family. That level of assurance regarding the well-being of your parents is not easily found. My parents deserve the high quality of life afforded by The Delaney and her staff – and they love it!
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Becky over the past several years. Her professionalism, compassion, and dedication to the residents are truly exceptional. Because of the confidence I have in Becky and the care provided at The Delaney, I referred my best friend’s mother to the community. From the moment she visited, she fell in love with Becky, the warm and welcoming residents, and the beauty of the facility itself. It gave our family great peace of mind knowing she would be surrounded by such a caring and supportive environment. I have also had the pleasure of working with Ann…

It gave our family great peace of mind knowing she would be surrounded by such a caring and supportive environment. I have also had the pleasure of working with Ann and Clarissa, who have been equally wonderful. Their kindness, professionalism, and commitment to providing excellent care make The Delaney stand out among senior living communities. If you are looking for an Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care community for a loved one, I highly recommend The Delaney. The staff genuinely care, the community is beautiful, and the residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. ❤️
Moving my Mom here from Virginia was the hardest thing. We looked at so many places but when we found The Delany at South Shore, we knew it was the right place. Becky went above and beyond to make the transition easy. All the staff are professional, caring, and kind. The residents are so happy here, and they have helped make my mom feel like she is at home. I highly recommend the Delany!!
I recently moved my 84 year-old mom into the independent living community at the Delaney. It was a hard decision, and we looked at many other communities here in the area. I am very confident that we made the right decision. The staff is very attentive, responsive, patient, and flexible as we went through this process. They have a variety of activities, food is good with a well-rounded menu and the grounds and building are well maintained. The rooms are freshly painted and cleaned for move-in and spacious. I would highly recommend the Delaney for your loved one. - Karen
After visiting numerous Assisted Living communities throughout Houston and the Clear Lake area, our family ultimately chose The Delaney for my 92-year-old father. With each visit, we carefully assessed the staff, the quality of care, the facility itself, amenities offered, and of course, the food. The Delaney stood out in every category—so much so that I felt confident during our tour that this was the place my father should call home. Since moving in, we are truly grateful for the ongoing support provided by The Delaney. The caregivers and staff have consistently been wonderful and attentive, ensuring that my father receives excellent care and feels comfortable. Their dedication to his well-being and safety gives our family peace of mind. Because of our experience, we highly recommend The Delaney to anyone searching for a caring and supportive home for their loved one. The team’s professionalism and compassion have made all the difference, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
One of the hardest decisions you will make is putting a parent in a "home". My father is capable of taking care of himself so we needed independent living. From the moment I was greeted at the front door I had a good warm feeling Dad would like this place. Heather was very genuine and took whatever time needed to answer any questions i had. Dad has moved in and went from not wanting to go to loving it. The accommodations the people and the activities, he has joined in them all and feels welcome and happy and even loves the food. Dad at 98 is happy, made the right decision!
My husband and I made an appointment for a complete tour. Our goal was to secure enough data to present the pros and cons of the overall services and premises to my husband’s parents. We spent over 2 hours with Heather Kmetz, the Residency Counselor, and were provided with extensive information accompanied by physical visits to resident rooms to see the different floor plans. We also visited all of the social areas, dining areas, craft, movie, games, and workout rooms. The outside areas were well kept and inviting. In addition, Heather provided us with a list of their specific services, costs, and brochures for 3rd party help, if needed. We were extremely satisfied with our meeting and delighted to have spent enough time to witness lunch and the happy faces on all of their residents. The residents were truly comfortable and cared for by experienced and nurturing staff. This appears to be a great organization. We will interview one or two more elder facilities but at this time I told my husband The Delaney At South Shore was so nice I was ready to move in too!!!
I recently visited the Delaney At South Shore. The food was delicious and the staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and a beautiful place!
