4.5 · 153 reviewsOver eight years ago, we began looking for a retirement community where we would relocate. We considered several facilities, but Edgemere was the most attractive by far. Our experience at Edgemere has been fantastic. We have many new friends, and every need is provided for. Edgemere is a great place to live. The food is wonderful, there are activities to serve any need, and medical care is readily available. Choosing Edgemere was a great decision for us. Edgemere is our happy place.
I moved to Edgemere in October 2017 with my husband. He passed away shortly thereafter, and I was asked to be the Building Representative of my building. I attended the Edgemere Retirement Association Board Meetings and met many residents. It was a 2 year commitment, and after, I joined the Social Committee and became very involved. I took charge of the Fashion Show. I also volunteered to help another resident and we did an apartment tour of apartments here at Edgemere, for the residents, and it benefited the Gary Sinese Foundation for veterans, which was held that year on Veteran's Day. I moved to Edgemere in October 2017 with my husband. He passed away shortly thereafter, and I was asked to be the Building Representative of my building. I attended the Edgemere Retirement Association Board Meetings and met many residents. It was a 2 year commitment, and after, I joined the Social Committee and became very involved. I took charge of the Fashion Show. I also volunteered to help another resident and we did an apartment tour of apartments here at Edgemere, for the residents, and it benefited the Gary Sinese Foundation for veterans, which was held that year on Veteran's Day. I also had background in Christmas decorating and helped with the decorating here at Edgemere. For the past several years I have picked and shown movies in our theater on Monday evenings. I served 2 years as Treasurer of the Edgemere Retirement Association, and am now serving as the Dining Chairman of the Board. I have thoroughly enjoyed living here at Edgemere, attend bridge classes, exercise classes, book club, Bible classes, choir, and participate in as many activities as time will allow. I have made many friends and plan dinners with them almost every night. There is always something to do or many ways to become involved. I've met many interesting people, from all walks of life and family is nearby. The staff is well qualified and very caring and we are treated almost like family. I have been very happy here and can't imagine my life anywhere else. Jeanette Dister
After coming from a different state, I decided to move closer to family. Dallas was my destination and Edgemere was the independent community I chose. The residents have been extraordinarily welcoming and interesting to get to know. Edgemere has also provided me with excellent meals served by friendly and helpful staff in two separate dining rooms. Also, transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores can be arranged. It is a very vibrant and beautiful place to live.

I am extremely impressed with the Edgemere Senior Living Facility. Hospitality at its finest. Every staff member I interacted with encompassed excellent customer service; knowledgeable, helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. I reviewed this facility for my elderly mother, I was highly impressed. The housekeeping service was immaculate. The facility is extremely well kept, very nice. I truly loved this place. I had the opportunity to meet the Housekeeper Lead, Bern, she’s top notch and very professional. Thank you for an amazing tour and experience. We’re looking forward to calling Edgemere home!
Edgemere is truly a beautiful and well-maintained community. The environment is peaceful, clean, and welcoming, and the staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. The level of service and attention to residents’ comfort really stands out. The facilities are excellent, and there’s a strong sense of community throughout. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into making residents feel at home. I highly recommend Edgemere to anyone looking for quality senior living in Dallas.
My grandmother is here and I love coming to visit her because the place is beautiful, and well-maintained. The staff is ALWAYS welcoming, kind, attentive, and I can tell that they truly care about the residents. The amenities, activities, and dining options are excellent. When we chat on the phone she always has so much to tell me about the things she has done. Edgemere is a wonderful place that really feels like home away from home for her.
