I've been dealing with focus care for two years now. They helped me with my brother and now they're taking care of my father. They, and I mean everyone when I say "they", from admins to maintenance, are more than willing to work with the family and ensure your loved ones are safe and tended to properly. When my brother passed away in June there wasn't a single person that knew him that had a dry eye. They had all become very fond of my brother and took the loss almost as personally as I did. They were there for me from beginning to end. When I had to transfer my dad from Paris to here the admins stepped up and helped me get all the paperwork done so I could focus on Dad. The nurses and aides are phenomenal when it comes to dealing with Dad, and are very caring with him. He has dementia so they know he struggles but they always remind him he's safe and going to he ok and they don't hesitate to contact me if there's a problem with anything. Everyone from the top down works with me for any needs we may have for Dad as they did with my brother and I have no worries when I have to leave after a visit. I have not met one person, employees or residents, that I have had an issue with. After two years of struggles and the loss of my brother the folks at Focus Care are not only my friends but they are like family to me and I cherish them for taking care of my family the way they do. If you have a loved one that needs care, believe me they will be taken care of here and these folks will not hesitate to help you through the journey you'll be making.
This facility truly cares about the residents under their care. We strive to be better every single day. We are always open to suggestions for the betterment of our residents and staff.
I can’t believe how bad this place is
Mom walked in but had to be carried out. Broken elbow and possibly hip. Bruises head to toe. Cuts on her face. Her hand is swelled so bad her skin is stretched to its limit. They didn't give her meds and 2 bottles of narcotics were missing
Please for the actual love of God, if you care about your loved ones do NOT take them here under ANY circumstances. My MILs mom was taken here last week and picked up today. She wasn’t given her medications, and some of her meds were stolen. She came home COVERED in bruises, and I wish was exaggerating. She looks like someone literally beat the hell out of her. She has a big swollen bruise on the face, her hand is completely purple and swollen, she has a ginormous red bruise on her arm that imo looks like she was violently grabbed, and to top it all of, her legs both have countless bruises. This is absolutely ridiculous, disgusting, and disturbing. I pray to whatever higher being is out there that every single person that works here gets investigated, and gets the charges that they deserve. Please everyone, take your loved ones literally anywhere else.
The majority of these comments are written by the staff. This NH should be shut down immediately. It is filthy and reeks of urine and feces. The food they serve is not fit for human consumption. I asked for a glass of ice water and was told, "Sorry. It's pink. It's what they put in the water." What???? Every single resident in this disgusting facility is at risk and the nursing staff is well aware of that situation. This is a cooperate owned facility and I would like to know who owns who at the Texas HHS that allows this mold ridden building to remain open and the staff to continue to work there. Some investigation work should be done. I have done enough of my own investigation to know that it is sad that these comments are written mostly by the staff and the facts are not in them. I even told a cooperate employee that she should be ashamed of the place she represents. Don't believe for one second that this facility rates 4.8 stars. *We care for our residents and team members with respect and compassion while following State guidelines and Focused Care standards. * Sure you do....is that why you literally have extremely low standard reporting from the state and federal government? Just curious, as people need to know that ALL reports to the state/feds about your facility are online and available at HHS.TEXAS.GOV and then click on search PROVIDER DETAILS. Type in TITUS COUNTY. TO THE PUBLIC: THIS FACILITY LITERALLY HAS 7 FEDERAL FINES FROM 2021-2024. THIS YEAR ALONE THEY WERE FINED AS FOLLOWS: $192,285 05/24/2024 $12,048 02/14/2024 Does the public know just how bad the violations have to be for a facility to be fined over $204,000 by the feds IN 3 MONTHS?! I will stay with my original post about this facility.
The activities director is amazing she cares so much for the residents.
Great places of work!! All friendly staff!!
