After a four day stay, my Special Needs sister needed rehab. I chose Glenview based on a recommendation. It was a good choice. It is a perfect fit nor my sister. The staff is great. She loves her physical therapy and she is making friends with everyone she encounters. I highly recommend Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation Center.

Facility was very clean, front desk was friendly and helpful. Nursing staff was great!

I placed my grandmother in this facility for a five-day respite stay and was extremely disappointed by the condition in which she was returned to my care. When I arrived to pick her up, virtually all of her clothing was missing. She was dressed in donated items from the facility’s lost-and-found, had no shoes, and was still wearing the same socks she had on when I dropped her off five days earlier. The condition of her room was equally concerning. Empty hangers were scattered across the floor and piled on top of a dresser, giving the impression that the room had not been properly attended to…

Empty hangers were scattered across the floor and piled on top of a dresser, giving the impression that the room had not been properly attended to for days. When I asked about her missing belongings, the nurse on duty stated that she had never seen the clothing, despite being the staff member who accepted the bags at admission. She also stated that she had not put the items away. I then began searching myself. In the laundry room, I found three pieces of clothing. Staff then took me to another resident’s room, which they indicated was known for taking other residents’ belongings, where we recovered several more items. During the search, I also observed another resident walking the halls wearing some of my grandmother’s clothing. What was most troubling was the apparent lack of urgency from administration. At the time of discharge, approximately $300 worth of clothing remained missing, and my grandmother ultimately left the facility wearing socks because her shoes could not be located. Losing a few items can happen anywhere. Losing nearly an entire wardrobe, having family members search the building for belongings, and discharging an elderly resident without shoes reflects a level of care and accountability that I find unacceptable.

I have read some of the reviews and this is my experience. I’ll start with the facility. Yes, it’s older than dirt but the care is adequate. My mom was admitted into the rehab section from a massive stroke. She can’t speak or walk. Her right side of body is paralyzed and blind in one eye. Also, has high blood pressure, blood clots in brain, heart failure, kidney failure, dementia and copd (never smoked). Pretty sick mother I have. The rehab. Section (in the back) is excellent without a doubt. Her stay in rehab. Was 30 days. The Therapy staff is also phenomenal. House keeping and laundry is great too. My mom has been moved into long term care (front part of building). They too are hard workers and caring people. I now understand why the patients are sitting in wheelchairs in the front lobby. They are watching them close by to ensure they don’t fall. The only problem is they seem to have a lot more patients and not enough staff for all. When I nicely address something regarding my mom, It’s handled immediately. A piece of advice for anyone who is new to this process and would like it is to “be present.” Don't expect the staff to know everything on their own. Tell them what you need. Decorate you family members room. Pick up any slack you see. For example, I wash my mom’s clothes. I prefer it that way so her clothes don’t get lost. I bring her snacks. If I arrive and she is soiled or soils when I’m visiting I change her. If her room needs light cleaning while I’m there I do it. I know they will get to her asap but if I’m there I’m going to clean up after my mom who I know just recently did those things. I also keep up with the meal times. If I can come in and assist with feeding my mom, I will. They are not perfect but they do a good job and most of them I know really care about her well being. I have my mom on hospice also, which gives me an extra set of eyes and hands for her. My mom fell out of bed, it happens. I didn't blame the staff. I know my mom. She was trying to get out of bed and fell out instead. So, I handled the fall. I simply had her hospice person bring in bolster for her bed and a mat on side of bed in case she falls again. Please don’t leave your love one there without frequent visit, observation, input, and assistance. I am there at least once a day and on weekends I drop by often. I made sure my mother was placed into a long term care facility very close to my home. I can be there in 5 minutes. One thing I noticed is that a lot of the residents are left there with few an far between visitors or none at all. For me, I have piece of mind that they are caring for her 24/7. It is something I couldn’t do at my home due to my work hours. I tried but I failed. It is a never ending, thankless job. So please do your part. The Lord knows I am going to be there to ensure it all goes well for her as long as I need to. My mom is not alone. I'm always going to present and be her voice..

The staff is nice as my family member is being very well taken care of every time one of us visit. We have no complaints. He seems to be in good spirits, but I also know that he’s receiving the care that he that he deserves.

My mother Fran W had a Great experience and was taking care of real well on the 100 hall.. Also my mom spoke Highly of the RN, CNA’s , PHYSICAL THERAPY ALSO THE ACTIVITIES AND DIETARY.. She will recommend anyone to go to this facility… So with that being said I was happy that my mom had a great experience… this is her experience only from the 100 hall..

I do not recommend the long term nursing side of the facility. If you want your loved one to be happy and cared for, don’t put them in the nursing facility. My mom was in the rehab part three times and they took really good care of her, not to mention the relationships I had with the staff.. I do recommend the Rehabilitation Center there. Then my mom went into the long term side. The first words out of the nurses tech when I walked in was “make yourself present so that your LO is taken care of”.. I am there several times a week. My mom would be in her wheelchair with the oxygen tank empty or even off when she is supposed to be in oxygen 24/7. She would ring her call button and no one would come,. There were at least three times that I couldn’t even find the call button.. it was all the way behind the bed. I had to pull the wire like a rope hand over hand and pull it out. What if there was an emergency, and my mom couldn’t find the button?? Everyday I was with my mom I had no idea what I was walking into. Did she fall and I wasn’t contacted, yes. I feel as though my mom was being neglected. There is so much more I could write but I’m saving it for another time. Please, find another place to put your loved one!.. it is not safe and the majority of the people who work there are lazy and don’t care. As a matter of fact. Yesterday my mom asked if her nurses tech could help her to the restroom. She was told, “you have a diaper on, use it”, We actually have pull ups as she doesn’t need a diaper. There was a case of underpants in her room and they flat refused to put them on her. Mom was in the nursing facility from November 2025 till today, March 3, 2026. I feel relieved that we got her out of there safely and we are no longer under their care.

My brother has been a resident at Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation Center for over three years, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care he receives. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to the well‑being of their residents. Every month, I meet with his counselor and nurse to review his care plan, and they always take the time to ask if there is anything I feel needs extra attention. I truly appreciate how open they are to communication and how seriously they take family input. In all the time my brother has lived there, he has never filed a grievance about his care or living conditions. The facility is always clean and well‑maintained, and there are many activities available for residents who choose to participate. It gives me great peace of mind knowing he is in a place where he feels safe, comfortable, and supported. After three years, the fact that he has not once complained—and that I have never encountered an issue with the services provided—speaks volumes about the quality of care at Glenview. I am grateful for everything the staff does and would highly recommend this facility to other families seeking compassionate and reliable long‑term care.
