My husband James Stephens stayed for 3 weeks on VA Respite Care, room 543. I was very pleased with the care he received there. They were on spot with his meds and anything else he needed. Special kudos to his pm aid Rene. He would bring his little dog in all dressed up to visit. My husband loved petting on that dog. We will be back.

We had to make the decision to place my mother in a care facility and we chose this one. Big mistake! The first day she was there she fell and hurt herself. We were able to look past that and hope for good care there but, unfortunately, they are very understaffed and appear to be more interested in having events and activities than caring for the in need the most. We were told this facility would be able to take care of her and they failed. We have since moved my mother to a better place where she has adjusted quite nicely and is being taken care of much better. I understand this place has…

I understand this place has gone through some recent changes. I hope they were for the good. Best to consider a different place to leave someone that you love to be cared for than here.

My mom stays here and has dementia. The building is very old and sometimes looks dirty, but they take good care of her. They keep her clean, get her out of bed every day, and have activities like a weekly church service. Those things are very important to me because she is not just lying in bed all day staring at the wall or watching TV.

Samantha and her entire nursing and therapy team have done an outstanding job taking care of my Mother over the past few weeks. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made a difference during a challenging time. From the moment she arrived, she was made to feel welcome; including a thoughtful welcome basket waiting in her room. They treated her with dignity and kindness and kept our family informed every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful for the care she received and highly recommend this team to anyone in need.

I came in today to visit my grandmother. She hasn’t had anyone visit in over a month due to sickness and lack of transportation but when I came in on a random Thursday, someone was in her room doing her makeup and making her feel special. It truly touched my heart. Thank you to the health care workers at Heritage Trails, for all that you do for my grandmother and every other resident there.

Last year, this was the nastiest facility that I personally have ever had to walk into. If I could rate it a zero I would. There have been a lot of renovations in the last 15 months or so but fresh paint doesn't fix internal issues nor staff/patient care concerns. The kitchen and food prep is still sub-par. Even clients that have been living there long term have shared horror stories they have witnessed. It is very heartbreaking to have been forced to see and hear what I did. This facility does not deserve to have the honor of being open for business nor boasting services for veterans who gave everything for this country or everyday people that we call our loved ones.

My 74 year old mother has been suffering from dementia and she was an Alvarado meadows. That place was horrible. They were killing my mom. She is way better in heritage's trails They are taking good care of her. The place is clean and they attend to her and don't neglect her. My mom had a bed sore so big. It spreaded from hip to hip. There was fluid in her lungs and fluid around her heart they were not rotating her properly, they were not caring for her properly. She was being neglected in Alvarado.Meadows, heritage's trails is very good for my mom.I am thankful she is here now her recovery is better.Thank you heritage trails
