I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for compassionate, competent care for their loved one. My mother entered this residence walking, and within just one month she was confined to a wheelchair. During her stay, she suffered visible bruising on her arms, which appeared to be the result of improper handling and a lack of knowledge when transferring her between chairs and her bed. Even more concerning was the level of medication she was given. The amount of narcotics administered seemed excessive and unnecessary, leaving her heavily sedated. It felt as though she was being kept drugged simply so staff would not have to properly care for or interact with her. The treatment she received from staff was unacceptable. When she became upset, instead of offering comfort, she was yelled at and told to stop crying, as if her feelings were not valid. No patient deserves to be treated with that level of disrespect and lack of empathy. Additionally, the quality of meals did not match what was promised. We were told to expect proper, cooked meals, yet there were days when she was served sandwiches for both lunch and dinner. Overall, this experience was deeply disappointing and troubling. Families trust these facilities to provide safe, respectful, and attentive care, and in our case, that trust was completely broken.
