We were familiar with LCCH for several years so when my husband needed rehab, it was our first choice. The building is not new but it is kept very clean, the food is good and the staff is EXCELLENT, we are very grateful for his care here.
The first person I saw was the receptionist. She was so helpful and made sure we knew exactly what to expect. And the service has been consistently good with all the staff. The nurses and aides are good, the nursing manager during the day was exceptional, and the food is good. They have activities and I believe our mom is getting excellent care. This is a great rehabilitation place.
EDIT: I have called multiple times. Zero response. I have been called to pay for my mom now- in fact said I would pay it until the Director called. This was 3 weeks ago. And again on Saturday. I asked for an itemized statement of how my mom was billed. They sent me a coding sheet. My mother was approved for 21 days. She spent 13 there. On the other hand, my dad who has passed spent almost 30 days, and now they cannot locate anything for him. His tablet went missing, clothes went missing. While my parents for vastly different care, I believe it is upon me to share my experience with this…
EDIT: I have called multiple times. While my parents for vastly different care, I believe it is upon me to share my experience with this facility. My dad who unfortunately has gone home on hospice was not treated well by the staff. Most times he stated he would push his call button and it could be upwards of an hour or longer before someone would come check on him. He had a fall in the bathing area, and we were not notified for hours later after he had been transported to dialysis. His “rehab” was severely lacking. After “copay days” started they failed to mention to myself - power of attorney so we could make an informed decision on his care instead called to tell me he owes over $1000 dollars. They didn’t include me on his care plan until after I spoke to admin who kept saying “he cleared the mental state” even being told I should be involved in all decisions. They let me take him out of the facility NOT being able to walk with no assistance.
I recently toured here while considering rehab for my sister. For anyone who has been through this process it is exhausting. Unlike the other places I looked at this facility smelled clean and fresh. I toured with Kristin, she was empathetic and informative. She gave me a full tour even though I showed up by surprise. The residents were happy and active which made a world of a difference to me. My sister ended up not needing rehab but I must say if a family member or myself needs this type of service I will be choosing this facility.
This is a tiny community but seems sweet. Residents look cared for and happy.
I think it's alright so far. Mom has only been there for a couple of days. She has no complaints. They are taking care of her and the food looks delicious.
As visitor's my wife and I had an excellent experience. This facility is very clean. The faculty members are helpful, kind, and courteous. I would recommend this establishment to anyone as a care facility to anyone needing this type of care.
"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care my grandmother has received at your facility. Since her arrival, several staff members have gone above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. I would like to specifically commend Jamila who has been instrumental in organizing my grandmother’s paperwork. She is incredibly responsive and addresses every question or concern with impressive speed. Tamara has been an invaluable resource. She consistently steps up when others fall short, never limiting herself to a strict job description. She truly listens and takes ownership of any situation, always maintaining a positive and helpful attitude Aliya has been equally attentive regarding my grandmother’s healthcare needs. She listens to our concerns and acts quickly to schedule necessary exams, ensuring that my grandmother’s health remains the top priority. During my grandmother’s time in the A-Hall rehab unit, we were fortunate to meet Lucy, a five-star CNA. Her dedication to keeping my grandmother active and maintaining a consistent, comforting evening routine gave our family great peace of mind. Since moving to a permanent room in D-Hall, we have been supported by Leslie, a proactive and dedicated CNA. She ensures my grandmother’s daily needs—from hygiene and grooming to nutrition—are met with genuine care. It is a relief to know she is in such capable hands when we are not there. We believe that everyone deserves to have their basic needs met with dignity. Danyella, has been keeping me updated on my grandmother’s medical status. Your consistent communication has provided our family with a great deal of peace of mind. It is clear that these individuals have chosen healthcare as a calling, and their commitment to my grandmother’s quality of life is deeply appreciated."
