Oakmont Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Katy

One year ago, when I first had to place my beloved father in a nursing home, my heart was broken. I was filled with anxiety, worry, and uncertainty. Unfortunately, the first nursing home we chose was not the right place for him. My father was shaved so carelessly that his entire face was covered with cuts, and I was devastated when I saw the towel stained with his blood. There was also an incident where my father fell and suffered bruising and swelling on his head. Our family was not notified for several days, and he eventually had to be taken to the hospital for examination and treatment. The sadness and regret I felt after seeing these things are truly beyond words. Thankfully, after getting to know and build a relationship of trust with Ms. Ahn Leeza, the manager, we eventually found our way to Oakmont of Katy. It has now been about two and a half months since my father came here. Every time I visit, I can see the genuine care, attention, and concern the staff have for my father's safety and well-being. 1. Gentle, Careful, and Hygienic Personal Care Unlike before, my father is carefully shaved every day without any cuts or injuries. He is always kept clean, neat, and well-groomed. 2. Dedicated Assistance During Meals The staff make sure that my father never misses breakfast. They stay by his side and patiently assist him with feeding, making sure he receives the care and attention he needs. 3. A Safe and Caring Environment Most importantly, I feel reassured knowing that my father has been able to stay here without a single fall or other serious safety incident. The staff take his safety very seriously and provide attentive care for the residents. Above all, what I am most grateful for is the positive change I have seen in my father. When he first came here, he needed a great deal of assistance. Now, his health and strength have improved so much that he is able to eat on his own. Whenever I visit and see his bright, happy expression and how comfortably he is doing, my heart feels at peace. I truly believe that finding such a wonderful and caring place for my father has been a great blessing from God, and I am deeply thankful. Now, I can leave my father here with peace of mind, knowing that he is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to every staff member and manager at Oakmont of Katy who takes such sincere and loving care of my father. I am especially thankful to Ms. Ahn Leeza, the Korean director, for guiding us with such warmth, sincerity, and compassion. I wholeheartedly give Oakmont of Katy five stars without hesitation. In my opinion, it is truly an outstanding place for seniors and a wonderful home for my father. Thank you, Oakmont of Katy, for taking such good care of my father and giving our family peace of mind.

Ok let me tell you about my experience staying at Oakmont. You see live fish, and birds as you enter the facility, lovely wide entertainment area that you pass thru to reach your hallway and the room where you will be staying in. They have wifi on tap as well as usb power in the wall plug. The hospital beds are more than capable for bariatric patients. You are given a call button and they give you tons of privacy if you need help changing they are quick to help, if you bring a tv or a tablet you will find entertainment. The staff are very attentive to your needs they are a button press away and usually respond under 30 minutes depending upon what’s going on, (there human taking care of other humans) big or small if I need anything I know that I can just gotta button and get my need attended too. I never thought I would need to be in here, but it’s not as bad as ya think. This place takes care of its residents, when your mail arrives it gets delivered, when your visitors come by they get directed to your room what you do with your time here is up to you. You can always turn it positive the choice is yours.
