Resident & family reviews

Park Manor of Conroe is dedicated to taking great care of people, and that really shows the way the facility operates. Ashley, the Director of Nursing, is especially compassionate with both residents and family members, and her care and professionalism make a meaningful difference. It is reassuring to know loved ones are in such thoughtful hands.

My grandmother just died here and was not treated with compassion nor dignity in her final days. She was sent here for Rehab after a hip replacement and declined rapidly. They did not give her antibiotics for a UTI and then were not giving her morphine when her BP and HR were high- signaling pain/discomfort. I asked if the Charge RN could advocate for her to receive more, and she said why don’t YOU do that. She later made a comment that she was coming to check on us before she did her rounds down THE HALL OF DEATH. Another aide came in and said OH, she’s still with us. They let her sit in bed…

They let her sit in bed for the 6hrs without changing her depends or turning her. If you love your family member do NOT send them here. The staff here are lazy and have no compassion for the patients or their families.

My husband went to Park Manor Conroe for therapy. And it was a great experience. The comminication was wonderful from the moment we arrived and the time he was there. Therapy department and floor staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Listened to woman yell "Help" for 2 hours last night as her roommate needed changing from urine wet clothes. I was told a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) just left and went home as they didn't want to work. My CNA didn't empty my (backed up) catheter bag in his entire shift, never came to my room without me using the call light (& waiting up to an hour+ for him to respond), and was found, "hanging out" in the break room at morning shift change even though he had patients in need of cleaning. I have a fecal stained sheet I've been waiting to get replaced. When I advised the CNA, he disappeared and I've been waiting for about 4 hours for clean bedding. POSITIVE employee experience: Jamie, LVN; Jennifer and Summer, Occupational and Physical therapists, "T" night shift CNA; Carla, food service. One knows it's going to be challenging when the ambulance personnel say, "Well, it's better than Park Manor Of the Woodlands and some other places." My experience overall has been that, "skilled nursing" facilities are filled with people that are underpaid and feel that they are not treated as valued employees. As such, their job attitude is to do what is needed so they get a paycheck.

Elderly mother sent there for rehab with multiple fractures. They leave her sitting for long periods of time, don't come for hours after pressing the nurse button. Only after a family member tells the front desk that no one has checked on her does someone come by. Weekdays are better than weekends. They seem to be under staffed on weekends. Family members feel like we have to go everyday to make sure she is being cared for adequately. Some of the PTs are great and some not so great. When they take her back to her room, she has sat for long periods of time without being helped back into bed. She is often unable to call the nurse because the button is lost under the bed or left somewhere she can't reach it after sheets have been changed. We cannot recommend this place for rehab. We feel like we must check on our mother constantly to make sure she is doing ok.

Impressed at how friendly and smiling the staff are. They really seem to know and interested in the residents.

I ended up staying at Park Manor for a little over a month after my hip replacement at the VA went Staph. After my second surgery I was sent there to rehabilitate and get antibiotic IVs and at first wasn’t sure what the VA was doing. Once I arrived, I was met by a bunch of very friendly staff that explained everything to me including my isolation while I was on my IV antibiotics. I would say the nurses and staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay as pleasant and comfortable as they could. I was always greeted with smiles, and if I had any questions they couldn’t answer, they were quick to get the answer for me. If I were ever put in the same situation again, I would return back to Park Manor. I would give more stars if I could.

I enjoy being invited to all their holiday events. Happy to see everyone participating in the wellbeing of the residents.
