I would highly recommend this nursing facility to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one. The staff consistently provide excellent care with genuine compassion and respect for every resident. It’s clear that the team truly cares about the people they serve and goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel comfortable, safe, and valued. The therapy staff are truly top tier. They are knowledgeable, attentive, and dedicated to helping residents improve their strength, mobility, and independence. Their encouragement and personalized approach make a huge difference in each patient’s progress. What truly stands out is the dedication of the entire team. During a recent ice storm, many staff members stayed overnight at the facility to ensure every resident continued to receive the care they needed and that the facility ran smoothly. That level of commitment and compassion speaks volumes about the people who work here. Overall, this facility stands out because of the kindness, professionalism, and commitment shown by everyone on the team. It’s reassuring to know that residents here are treated with dignity while receiving high-quality care and therapy

My 94-year-old mother was admitted to Pleasant Manor for respite care from the 14th through the 19th. Unfortunately, the experience raised several concerns. Upon discharge, none of my mother’s personal belongings were returned, including her clothes and shoes. Since her release, I have had to initiate all communication with the facility in an attempt to recover these items. Despite speaking directly with the administrator, there has been no resolution, follow-up, or proactive communication from staff. Additionally, the condition of the shower room was unsatisfactory, appearing unclean and not meeting reasonable expectations for hygiene in a long-term care environment. While I recognize that operational issues can occur, the lack of responsiveness, accountability, and post-discharge follow-up is concerning—particularly for a facility entrusted with the care of elderly residents. Families considering respite care at this location may wish to inquire carefully about facility cleanliness, procedures for handling personal belongings, and communication protocols prior to admission.
