They don’t answer their phones

Crappy staff and crappy nurses. They are negligent to patients at night and people go days without medication.

Great facility with strong focus on Memory Care! The staff here is amazing!

Recently moved a relative from this community to a much more friendly and caring location in Texas. Experience at Pleasanton North was far less than stellar. While there, the family member/resident’s health declined to include a fall resulting in surgical repair of a hip. In addition, the 6’2” resident was placed in an ill fitting wheelchair and atrophy was exacerbated. There is little to no social interaction during the day with little to no mental stimulation so vitally important to dementia residents. In addition, although symptoms were observed, it was confirmed after the move that the resident was being overmedicated beyond necessary to the point of little or no communications and lethargic to the point of requiring help with eating. At the new location, self feeding and social interaction is common throughout the day and now with far less medication. I’d highly recommend avoiding this place based on our family’s experience.

Wife has been in for about 6 months now . Her Dementia had gotten very bad . She was in sever pain from several problems. Thanks to the resident doctor ,he started a treatment for the dementia shortly after she got there and she has improved almost back to normal . She doesn't complain about pain anymore. Even though she takes less pain medication. The people there are great. Went in a couple of times when there was visitation. Was very happy with what I saw. If she gets a scratch I get a call. I've been in some of the local big facilities here in San Antonio and I'm much happier with this facility .Has the perfect balance, Small town atmosphere and top notch people . I left activities blank because wife is unable to get out of bed on her own. Food she seems to like ,She's lost some needed weight and looking very healthy . Loves the person that comes around with the snack tray during the day. Nice touch for those like my wife that can't get out of bed.

May 8-2024 Update Celebrating our 58 anniversary Wife is doing extremely well here. First couple of years was hard to get her out of the bedroom . Now the staff has her at the cafeteria most of the day . She is very active now and there's days when I call that she is to busy to talk which I find fantast. Staff is great , They go to great links to learn each person there . Wife has been in for over 2 years now . Her Dementia had gotten very bad . She was in sever pain from several problems. You want find fancy fish tanks in the hall way like here in San Antonio . You will find a highly dedicated staff. The food is fantastic ,not that Hospital limited choice. They tailor it best they can to the persons likes and keep it healthy .Plenty of things to do for those that are living there . ( Home type environment ) My Thanks' go out to Anita the Business Dir. all the way down to the Maintenance personal that hung the pictures and clock for the wife. Patrick Willingham
