When we first start looking for a place for my wife .Then we looked at this place on the website. And it looked exactly like it. We didn’t know what to expect .Been almost 2 weeks and meeting the People the staff. It’s been wonderful they are friendly kind and professional. Taking good care of my wife and her needs. The place is big clean it’s like being at home lots of room. Place to sit outside and just relax.location is also great for us.I’m glad we found this place.

My mother was discharged here for recovery after a long stay in the hospital. She is not being taken care of. She has trouble standing and nurses don't help her up in a timely manner or at all. She hasn't had a bath in a week despite supposedly being in the schedule for it 3 days a week. Her physical therapy schedule conflicts with dialysis and they haven't changed it. When she's brought back from dialysis, she's left alone in a wheelchair for 15 to 20 minutes. There's basically no staff here on the weekends. Her meals are late and lacking nutrition. A nurse let her fall to her knees one night and no incident report was made and my father wasn't notified. A nurses AIDE had to help her back in bed. Everything I've heard from her about her stay has been completely unacceptable. If she could take complete care of her self she would be at home. This level of care and lack of assistance is completely unacceptable.

On my first visit there they were clean and quiet and very kind and I really liked it there and I feel like my friend who's dying that's there is in a very good place. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday I was given a tour by Rossy Saldana, the Admissions Director. What I saw was a very nice facility, and patients that appeared to be very happy with the care they are getting. There is a lot of longevity with the staff, which speaks to a real commitment to their job and especially their patients!

Our dear family friend lived there from Labor Day 2024 until we moved her January 2025. Some of her mail was stolen and her Christmas package was “withheld” for over 3 weeks. Only after our persistent phone calls & documentation from the postal service her package miraculously appeared. Another time her package from us was delivered to her room by another resident who had keys to other nursing home areas. A gentleman who was kitchen staff was very cruel as evidenced by his going out of his way to harass our friend by coming to her room and taunting 5 desserts from another dinner tray. Her tray was a measly dry hamburger bun, open-faced with approximately 2 tablespoons of plain tuna fish quite similar to canned cat food. Also included were 4 slices of beets. I HAVE PICTURES OF HER MEALS FOR DOCUMENTATION. She is diabetic and there is no excuse. When we reported the theft of her jewelry the administrator lied to me that he had notified the Ft Worth police department. He lied twice to me and once to my friend. We made a report ourselves and the officer told us that was the only report made. Such a beautiful facility for such ugly nonprofessional behavior. We pray for the little residents who have no one that cares. If you have a loved one or friend, do your homework before placing them in such lacidasical care.

My husband has been at Ridglea Medical Lodge for two months and has been well cared for. Shawn, his wound care nurse, is kind, efficient and effective. All his daily nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate, especially Angel, Annette and Sadie; and Kathy, the DON, is top notch. The food is good too, which is a delightful change from other places he has been. I would recommend the facility to others.

My advice: Monitor your family member closley, talk to nurses and other staff about their care and needs. KEEP documentation, follow up on all issues with email, in case you need to report incidents later. My family member entered into skilled nursing after a heart attack and transitioned to long-term care. For the most part the staff nurses and PT staff was caring. We did experience issues with the call bell not being answered, my mother went for hours before being changed or pain addressed. I called and reported to staff on duty and to Kathy head nurse. My family members wounds were not being dressed properly which caused more issues, again I reported this. On weekends there is temporary staff who may be unfamiliar with your family members needs. There was confusion with setting up outside doctor appointments, in most cases the doctor office sent request directly to facility nursing staff directly so the I was unware of appt until the day of. My family member passed away from complications and we NEVER even received a sympathy card, PITAFUL.. some of the staff didnt even acknowle us the day of, the Director Doug sat with his feet propped up in a chair as I tried to nagivate with another staff member, his lack of compassion was pitaful. Do not take your loved ones to Ridgmar Medical Lodge. They do not care about their patients, all they care about is making money. My mom was staying there for a few weeks and her health was rapidly declining. Had to call an ambulance to take her to the emergency room. Her blood sugar was over 340, she had a fever and possibly pneumonia. All they do is ask “How are you doing? Are you doing ok?” And then leave. My mom is diabetic and they don’t check her blood sugar or take her temperature. We would have to ask them to clean her room. Do not take anyone there they will let them die. Will file a formal complaint with corporate.
