I recently had the opportunity to receive a private tour of both Sage Oak of Colleyville memory care homes — their all-female home as well as their co-ed home — and I was incredibly impressed. As a newer Healthcare Liaison with Arcy Healthcare proudly serving Tarrant County, I have the privilege of visiting many senior living and memory care communities. Sage Oak truly stood out. If I were searching for a memory care home for my own grandmother, this is absolutely a place I would feel comfortable considering for her. From the moment you walk in, you notice the difference. The homes have a beautiful, intimate, luxury feel while still feeling warm and welcoming. It’s the little details — even down to the towel warmers — and the extra thought given to comfort, dignity, and the resident experience that really impressed me. Most importantly, you can feel the passion behind the people caring for these residents. Mitch made our tour absolutely magical! His enthusiasm, knowledge, and genuine heart for the families and residents he serves came through in every part of the tour. If you are searching for memory care for someone you love, I highly recommend touring Sage Oak of Colleyville in person. As a caregiver for the past 25 years, I've worked in many different facilities, and I can honestly say that Sage Oak of Colleyville feels more like a home than a facility. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, is always very clean, and even smells fresh. My client came here from what was supposed to be a skilled nursing facility, but unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Mr. Steve, the Assistant Executive Director, personally came to help get my client out of that situation. He treated her with dignity and compassion, spoke to her like a person, recognized how poor her condition was, and reassured both her and our family that she would be safe and well cared for. Mrs. Amanda, the Executive Director, truly has a heart for serving her community. You can see her compassion reflected throughout her staff. She is on-site, available to answer questions, and always willing to jump in and support her team. Mrs. Dee, the Care Coordinator, genuinely cares about every resident and makes sure they have everything they need, always with a smile on her face. If anything changes, she makes sure to keep us informed and always keeps the lines of communication open. Ms. Diamond, a med tech and caregiver, is like Superwoman. From the moment we arrived, she showed my client so much kindness and love, making her transition into the community as smooth and comforting as possible. I also remember our very first night here. Ms. Jay and Mr. Ricardo, both med techs and caregivers, made my client feel safe and cared for. They understood that she had come from a facility where she wasn't treated with the care and compassion she deserved. Even though she had slept most of the day, they took the time to make sure she was comfortable, reassured. Hands down, I give this community a 10 out of 10. Sage Oak of Colleyville has wonderful staff, great food, and people who truly take pride in what they do. Their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to their residents make all the difference. I would highly recommend Sage Oak of Colleyville to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care. As my time here comes to an end, I know I'm really going to miss seeing everyone's smiling faces. Thank you all for welcoming us with open arms and treating my client like family.
