Visited Silverado Memory Care recently and walked away genuinely impressed. The culture here is real...you can feel it the moment you walk in. Every team member we passed seemed happy to be there and truly bought into the mission, not just clocking in. The community was spotless, well-run, and had a warmth to it that's impossible to fake. You can tell a lot about a place by how the staff act when they don't think anyone's watching, and here it was consistent top to bottom. I recently toured the community, and it was an amazing experience. Having worked in Memory Care facilities for 15 years, I was truly impressed. One of the residents was playing the piano—and quite well, I might add. Throughout the building, groups of residents were actively engaged in various activities that fit their level of cognitive involvement. The rooms and décor felt like walking into someone’s home rather than a care facility. Most of all, the culture stood out. It was evident that the environment was caring, comfortable, and centered on the residents’ well-being. It was a wonderful…

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Silverado at Barton Springs. The staff treats every resident like family, creating an environment where everyone feels respected, loved and cared for. We moved our Mom here 8+ months ago and within weeks we could see the improvements in her well-being. She is engaged in multiple activities daily, loves the musicians that come to the home, has been on some amazing field trips and appreciates the great meals. We had previously been through this difficult transition with our Dad, so we understand the different a great place and support system makes. If…

The dedication and compassion of the entire team makes it an exceptional place. ❤️
On behalf of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, we are grateful for Imani Simmons’ volunteer work in our memory care programs as a Community Ambassador for Silverado Barton Springs Memory Care Community. I am the Director of Memory Care Programs at WHPC. Our programs provide meaningful engagement, respite, and connection for adults experiencing early to moderate memory loss and their care partners. Through activities such as art, music, exercise, reminiscence, cognitive stimulation, and small-group discussions, these programs nurture dignity, joy, and a sense of belonging. Over the past year, Imani has been a valued volunteer for our programs. She has led “Chair Tai Chi” multiple times at each of our programs. She also presented a program about safety at our Lunch & Learn for care partners. We are grateful for her service and appreciate Silverado’s dedication to our Austin community.
Silverado has been a life-changer for our family and my father. As many families dealing with dementia and memory care know, it’s something most hospitals and care facilities really don’t understand. We learned this the hard way with the treatment my father received at hospitals and another care facility. Repeated attempts to restrain and keep my father bed ridden. No one you talked to understood how to care for someone who couldn’t communicate what was going on. They really didn’t understand dementia at all. It was very sad. That changed the day we found Silverado. At the time my dad couldn’t walk because of the weeks in bed he was forced to stay in. Pat personally drove a couple hours to visit my dad at a hospital in Temple to review his condition. Once he arrived at Silverado, the magic began to happen. Today he is happy, healthy and walking around each day with the freedom and energy he had been fully lacking at other facilities. We have been blessed to find Silverado and the amazing people who work there. Pat and Margarita have done an amazing job and we are extremely thankful to have found them.
I recently toured Silverado Barton Springs for my father, and I’m so grateful for the experience. All of my questions were answered with genuine care, and the support I felt was incredible. Margarita warmly welcomed us and introduced us to residents and staff, and everyone we met was kind and helpful. Sonny also invited us to a support group, which meant a lot during such a difficult time. Although I ultimately decided to keep my father at home due to his decline, Margarita continued to support me by sharing valuable resources, including hospice care. I truly wish I had found Silverado sooner. I will always be grateful for their compassion and kindness.
A lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff is superb and is always doing their best to make the residents feel as comfortable and at home as possible
What an absolutely incredible community right here! Very, very clean, organized, friendly staff, and happy residents! You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. The residents always seem to be smiling and giggling, and having a good time and genuinely seem happy to be right where they are. It is quite obvious the caretakers love their job as well. They are extremely hands-on, pay very close attention to detail, and do whatever it takes to make sure the loved one is living their best life. It’s no wonder Silverado has multiple awards and accolades. Highly highly highly recommend!
