She texts me photos of the beautiful china they serve her breakfast and tea on. She has not been this happy and active in the three years prior to moving here. I am so grateful to St. Angelus.
This is the best assisted living facility in San Angelo. Deb and Karen took great care of my mom for over four years. They own the facility and greatly care for the residence; their own mother is one of them. While many other assisted living facilities will try to extort as much money as they can out of the tenants they never raised my mom’s rent once in four years. They have limited beds so be sure to check if they have availability.

It is definitely more like a home. Very calm and elegant. Each apartment has it own set of individual charms. Amazing dishes served fresh for every meal. Lowest prices in town comparatively for way more in quality of life. *** We have an apartment available now. ***
5 Stars aren't enough. Our 97 year old mother has lived here for 5 years. St.A is locally owned/not a corporation. The owner and her family live on site. The care for residents is warm, friendly, and personal. Three home cooked meals a day and snacks, activities, and a homey feel. The pricing is amazingly moderate. Websites for other elder facilities give false info about the cost of St. Angelus!! Call StA directly for quote! We cannot give high enough praise for the care our mom receives. We are grateful such a place exists in San Angelo at such a reasonable price.
My 93 year old mother has been a resident at St.Angelus since January of 2015. Our entire family as well as my mother are all thrilled by the care, service, and general quality of life she enjoys at St.A. The owner is on site 24/7 so there is always close supervision of staff members. The owner is an amazing woman with a true heart for the people in her care. The employees are warm and personable and because StA is a small facility, they all know each resident individually. They take time to talk to and listen to residents. Three home cooked meals are served daily as well as snacks. Meals can be eaten in the bright welcoming common area or in private rooms. The private rooms are large and spacious consisting of a large living area, separate bedroom, spacious closets, and private bath with large walk in shower. Help with meds is available and supervised by an RN included in the flat rate pricing. Many games, outings, and activities are provided including movies, therapy dog visits, and local entertainment. Family celebration dinners are held periodically. The daily meals are delicious, varied, and nutritious, with accommodations made for dietary restrictions. We have seen first hand other assisted living places; they cannot compare to StA. This place is a an amazing contrast to much of what we see in elder care today.
It was a nice enough place. It looked clean. But they didn't have any activities for the residents. They almost said with pride that they earned their right to not be active. It was just really weird.
