I recently had the opportunity to visit and was impressed by how welcoming and wellmaintained everything was. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. A special thank you to Sharonda, the Business Office Manager, who was incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful during my visit. Her professionalism and warm demeanor made a lasting impression. I visit many senior living and healthcare facilities throughout the Houston area, and it's always refreshing to see a team that genuinely cares about creating a positive experience for residents, families, and visitors. This facility was incredibly disappointing. The only positive part of my loved one’s stay was their interaction with therapy. The therapists were very caring and brought a bright part to the day. The food is not catered to your loved one’s dietary needs - especially those with diabetes. The nurses are hit and miss, and like many others said act like they are being forced to come and help those on their shifts. Most sitting around watching videos while your loved one is clicking a button for assistance. We even experienced a worker toss water on the bathroom floor 2 days in a row because they…

Most sitting around watching videos while your loved one is clicking a button for assistance. We even experienced a worker toss water on the bathroom floor 2 days in a row because they were too lazy to place it in the sink or trash. Thankfully, that matter was addressed promptly after speaking with the appropriate people. Aside from that, nurses are quick to say your loved one is “refusing” things, such as basic hygiene. Had I not been there daily, asking for my loved one to get bathed, it likely would have continued. 5 days and 3 prompt calls later, this was addressed - but should not have gone on that long. If you place your loved one in the facility I highly encourage you to ensure and follow up that they are receiving proper care. Do not just assume they are being taken care of.
My husband was here for therapy form stroke. At first he was not doing too well and insurance discharged us . The therapist continued working with him and now he has gotten better. The staff here is very good patient and helpful. The administrator, Bernadette Staples, go out of her way to help families and explain insurance and financials. Sharonda in business office has been very patient with me with long term care insurance and Medicaid pending. The team here has truly helped and supported me to navigate my husbands care. I would highly recommend this facility. Just remember they can only…

I would highly recommend this facility. Just remember they can only do so much as insurance is the one who can tell them. So pls as a family member and love one know your benefits ahead of time! It is so frustrating working with insurance. Be prepared that not everything will be covered by insurance. Even if you have long term care insurance.
Here you go: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Facility — Our Family Is Truly Grateful From the very first day we brought our father, Maroof Khan, to Sugar Land Health Care Center, we knew he was in the right place. What we didn’t expect was just how far above and beyond every single person here would go. My father is dealing with multiple serious medical conditions, and the level of coordinated, compassionate care he has received here has been nothing short of outstanding. The doctors and physicians have been thorough, attentive, and always willing to take time to explain his treatment. The nurses — day shift, night shift, every shift — have treated him not like a patient number, but like a person. Like their person. The specialists who have come in have been professional and knowledgeable, and we’ve always felt our concerns were heard. The physical therapy team has been encouraging and patient, pushing him in the best possible way toward recovery. And housekeeping — often unsung heroes — has kept his room clean and comfortable, which matters enormously for someone in his condition. We want to give a very special shoutout to Assia, one of the CNAs here, who truly stands in a class of her own. She cares for our father as if he were her own father — with tenderness, patience, and genuine love. Watching her with him has moved our entire family. She is an absolute gem and an example of what exceptional caregiving looks like. To the entire Sugar Land Health Care Center family — thank you. You have given our father dignity, excellent medical attention, and a genuine sense of care every single day. We are very, very satisfied, and we would not hesitate to recommend this facility to any family navigating a difficult medical journey. With sincere gratitude, The Khan Family
This facility needs a lot of work. The nurses were very uncaring and non attentive to patients needs. Sometimes it took an hour for them to get to the room when the call button was pushed and then acted like they were being burdened with any request. The patients were crammed into the rehab facility at one time. Way too many people in there to get the attentive care that they need in rehab. The facility was clean. The food was cold when it was brought to the room and it was in terrible taste. I would not recommend Sugar Land Health Care Center.
Well, it's not about visiting this facility, it's what I experience at an appointment my wife had at Eye center of Texas which is an awesome facility. The reason for the one star for Sugarland health care is for one of their patients I met at the eye doctor. When my wife and I first walked in I noticed a very older gentleman in a wheelchair just sitting there almost seemed asleep. As I was waiting for my wife to complete her visit the elderly man was trying to move his wheelchair slowly grabbing the chairs to move around, he eventually made it my way so I got up to help him roll on over by me, turns out he could not hear or speak. When I rolled him over to where I think he wanted to be I gave him a thumbs up and he nodded his head as if giving me the ok. Well as the minutes went by I could tell he was becoming restless. So I ask the staff who is he with they advise that a driver was coming from the care facility to pick him up. I asked do you know if someone is supposed to be here with him? They said most patients from care family normally have someone wait. But didn't know why they left him alone. I said he not alone anymore, but they needed to call the facility to pick him up and give the care he deserves. Which they did. I was determined to stay with this elderly man until they came to pick him up. So we hung out a bit and the look he would give was like he wanted to tell me something. But I did what could to make him feel comfortable. The driver finally came. And he looked at me and I wave bye. Another patient from the same health care was their and getting on the same van the elderly gentleman was on. So I asked what's the name of the facility your from and he said Sugar land health care. I'm not familiar with this facility I'm sure it might be a good place to take care of the elderly, but leaving someone love one, not to mention a elderly peson who cannot do for themselves all alone SUCKS! I hope the directors and operations directors mom or dad or grandparents never have to experience this kind of neglect, yes this is exactly what it is. Shame on you. I just hope this elderly man made it ok and got the help he needs at Sugar land health care.
After being released from the hospital, I needed a place to recondition my muscles, esp. my legs. Upon admission to Sugarland Health Care Center, I was concerned I would not walk any time soon. The Physical Therapists worked with me to insure I advanced each day and by the end of my stay, I was walking (with walker) but comfortable that that would soon be unnecessary. The staff were kind and caring, taking the time to make me feel at home and insuring I had what I needed to recover. Questions were answered, medical care was great and facility was clean and safe. Highly recommend this rehab center and the people that work there to work with a patient to maximize their recovery. My sincere “thanks” for giving me back my mobility.
Beware these facilities do not know how to take care of a drain and wound care. I was lied to at the hospital. Now I am having to instruct nurses on how to flush my drain and after 4 days I still can't get my bandage changed. If it weren't for the iv antibiotics I have to have I would go home. Obosede is an exceptional LVN and a lot of the nurses are good with what they have to work with. The shower room needs to be redone It is to small for all the equipment inside. The shower chair rolls around and I did not feel safe. The food is awful but you have a small refrigerator and should fill it with what you like. MJ and John in therapy are great to work with although I don't like therapy I loved them. After my IV finished it was sometimes hard to get it removed. Maybe lack of staff but I would wake up and find it full of blood several times.
