Update on my grandfather- the infection he received from the stay at Sundance, has spread to his heart. Which is not leaving him with very limited options. This place quite literally brought my grandfather to the end of his life, and fast. I beg of you to never let anyone you love step foot in this place. Ever.
Terrible place. Do not leave your loved ones here. Unsanitary living conditions and staff members who are barely trained and don’t speak english. DO NOT trust these people to take care of anyone. I wish I took photos of the dirty diapers and pads stuffed into dressers because they were too lazy to clean up and throw them in the trash.
This place is really truly terrible. First to start, my grandfather had thousands of dollars worth of items stolen from him and his room. We still don’t know where they went. Then, he was pushed by another member ( they have dimenta- these things happen) but when it came time for an incident report, they tried to hand us false documentation that stated he fell. Until we played a recording of a worker stating he was pushed by such member. Then, he ended up weeks later after no one got him help, needing hip surgery. Until we played a recording of a worker stating he was pushed by such member. Then, he ended up weeks later after no one got him help, needing hip surgery. After that surgery he went back to sunflower. They did not give him the proper care, cleaning, taking care of him etc. he had to go back to the hospital for emergency surgery to get rid of MRSA. ( when I visited they had dirty clothes and diapers shoved in random places in the room). This place is not fit to take care of absolutely any human being, let alone an elderly person in need. I am so disheartened by how they did everything. When we removed him, not one person asked how he was doing. How he is, or felt sorry for what has happened to him. If you love your loved ones; do not send them to this place. Please.
I’ve had an excellent experience here! I live an hour away and they take the best care of my father and it’s so relieving knowing he’s safe and cared for here. He needs 24 hour care and it’s been so high quality. He talks about Renate and how good she is with him, she’s his favorite. He has been there about 2 years now. They’re all so kind to him and help us the best way they can.
My father has been living here for 2 years after his condition started to decline. I knew he would be needing 24 hour care, and after receiving a recommendation from a caregiver concierge about Sundance Memory Care being the best place to help him, I decided to give them a call, and I am so glad I did. I am very thankful for this facility and especially their employee Renate who has been a blessing for my father, always making sure he is well taken care of. She sends me photos of him, makes sure he is ready to go on time for drs appointments, and she just keeps me up to date on how he is doing, which helps me feel comforted in knowing that he is well taken care of. I am also thankful for Lena who has always been very helpful on the administration process. Everyone I have spoken with and know at this facility has always been very helpful and caring. I easily recommend this place to help take care of your loved one.
Please never put your loved ones in this place. This place has very rude caregivers and very rude and ugly to the residents and family .. my brother was here for a week and I pulled him out . They lost lots of his clothes and when I asked for them they just said ma’am we don’t know.. He also let me know he fell because the caregiver was to rough with him and when I asked the med aid said I wasn’t here I don’t know !! Please for the love of god do NOT put your loved ones here
It is the best place that you can find. It is a place where, the caregivers are really trained to do their job. The ratio for caregivers vs residents is higher. They are always smiling and happy. I visited 13 other places, and this was the best.
The owner he is very unprofessional he has assaulted staff. Always short staffed. The facility is always short staffed. Patients have bed soars. Do not work here or put your family member here. U have been warned
