I have lived at The Terraces 9 years. I have enjoyed living here especially when I moved in 9 years ago. I would like to see more diabetic desserts. The director is trying to make improvements to get the community, back to how it was when I moved in.
This facility was truly amazing, from the moment I entered the Terraces it felt like home. The dinning room, exercise area, my room, and the outdoor fountain along with seating area is phenomenal as well. Brittany was very helpful in getting me through the paperwork and showing me throughout the facility. Her courtesy, politeness, and knowledge was very helpful in making my decision to stay at this facility. The staff here from the Executive Director to the maintenance personal was also polite and courteous which was a very delightful change to one place I saw previous to the Terraces…

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center while I was in town, with a friend who’s parents live there. I am from out of state, and I left incredibly impressed. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a warm, welcoming atmosphere from being greeted by the person at the front desk, to one of the very sweet housekeepers who ala”so greeted us.The community is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and has a true sense of home rather than feeling like a facility. Every team member I encountered greeted us with a smile, and it was clear they genuinely cared about the residents. What stood out to me the most was the culture. The residents looked happy, engaged, and comfortable. I observed staff interacting with residents by name, stopping to chat, and providing assistance with kindness and patience. It was obvious that building relationships is a priority here. If I had my own loved one looking for an independent living community, I would feel very confident recommending The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center. My visit exceeded my expectations, and I left with the feeling that this is a place where people are truly cared for and can enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.
I frequent the Terraces of Kingwood for differently events, networking, seminars, etc. The staff are always welcoming and professional. The residents are joyful and you can tell that they living here.
The new look at The Terraces at Kingwood Town Center is refreshing, warm, and truly feels like home. The updates have created a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Under Katrina’s leadership, it’s clear that the community is in great hands. She genuinely cares about both the residents and the staff, and that compassion shows in everything she does. Her dedication and commitment have made a positive impact, and it reflects throughout the entire community. Highly recommend!
I have a dear friend that I have frequently visited there over the years. She has enjoyed living there. Unfortunately, on my more recent visits, the hall where her apartment is smelled completely awful and the odor reached all the way to the end of the hallway. It has continued to get worse each time I visit. It's a shame as the building has received new carpet and paint, but the carpet has several stains on it already. On my most recent visit, my friend's air conditioner had been out for a while, and on behalf of my concern for her I went to report this to the building manager. Her door was shut. I went to the nextdoor office and saw the head manager and marketing director and some other woman with a nametag on just sitting in the office literally lounging out and didn't seem at all interested or concerned with my friend's air conditioner. They acted very dismissive. My friend told me that their new maintenance man did end up coming by her apartment and he seemed to be happy to assist her and even kindly hung a new frame on her wall for her. I spoke with my friend's son regarding this issue and he told me there has been a lot changes in management staff there and a new company owned it now and has also been concerned with all of the unfamiliar faces. I hope my next visit will be a better experience.
My dad has lived here for over 3 years. We’ve seen different management companies as well as staff turnover. He is very upset with the changes made in the last month by the new executive director. The food options and quality seem to have decreased rapidly. The wall to honor veterans was taken down and painted over. There is only one maintenance man and he seems to be overworked. I’m not sure what changes were made recently but this company does not have the residents best interest at heart. When SAGA took over they told us they wouldn’t come in and immediately change things. However several managers seems to have been changed out overnight…makes you wonder what’s going on.
The Terraces of Kingwood made my dad’s transition from living in his home to independent living truly seamless. What could have been an overwhelming and emotional process - over the course of a few months - instead felt smooth, supportive, and surprisingly uplifting. From the moment we walked in, they made both my dad and our family feel welcome — not just as new residents, but as part of a community. Every step of the way, the staff showed patience, kindness, and a genuine commitment to making sure my dad felt comfortable and confident in his new environment. The entire process was organized, clear, and handled with such care that it took a huge weight off our shoulders. A special shout‑out to Britany, the Sales Director, whose professionalism and warmth made all the difference. She answered every question — and then some — with clarity, compassion, and an impressive depth of knowledge. Her guidance helped us navigate decisions big and small, and we never once felt rushed or uncertain. We are incredibly grateful for the Terraces of Kingwood and the wonderful team who continue to make this transition not just easy, but truly positive. They continue to exceed every expectation, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
