The Wellington

It doesn't offer meals and dining. It's a little expensive but I feel safe and like it a lot. I picked this community because of the atmosphere, friendly people, amenities, animal friendly, and you can't hear what the neighbor is doing. They also have a heated pool, library, fitness center, theater and big gathering area.

Shabby and not well maintained--rental increase every year is about $50--overpriced for what is offered. No maintenance done in the last 20 years and now they want to install counter tops and blind to update facility---should have been done years ago. Landscaping is sadly lacking. Sidewalks and walkways are dangerous. Gaping holes in some buildings, foundation issues. Overall all--poor choice

I will be moving in Friday at The Wellington. It is a number of duplexes there, it's one level -- which is so much easier on me -- and it is a gated community. We have a full-service kitchen which I have missed today. They served breakfast on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays only, which is fine with me because I like to cook. They have washers and dryers in the room, and all the appliances are furnished. We have 2-bedroom, 2-bath, there is a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and three closets in the second bedroom.
