My mom was is at this rehab, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The social worker there, Madeline, is absolutely incredible. She truly cares so much about the people there, and she works above and beyond to help you with resources to help you have the best care possible. She is quick to respond to my calls, and even stops by to visit in person to make sure all is going well. Her communication and care exceeds expectations. Thank you so much for helping me and my mom.
If you want to live or get better don’t go to this place if care and love your parent or spouse or child or family don’t go to this place. This is horrible and dangerous!! For the elderly. The staff that routinely to care of patients are dangerous culturally disconnected; no empathy. They abused my 86 year old mother to the point she was traumatized and terrified to be there. They never answered the call lights, I know because my husband and tested the response time they never came and when I addressed it they didn’t care they still took their time. They had 1 pct to 12 patients that bed…

They had 1 pct to 12 patients that bed ridden and some unable to talk. My mom was bed ridden and lost her ability to speak well and couldn’t not feed herself. Do you think anyone feed her no. I got off work on and found my mom in a wheelchair sitting all day: they watched collect fluid in her legs and body and did nothing, mom said they let her fall out the bed 3 times because they refused to answer the call lights. My mom begged me twice in 1 week to take her away. The second time she told us if I left her there she could be dead the next day. We packed her stuff. She said they only talked to her when I came around which was 3-4,times a day. Don’t let the appearance of the facility fool you This place is a death trap and they don’t care they have employees who don’t care they interested in talking All of the care staff have no sympathy or empathy because they are culturally disconnected Run I could share more but I will be taking action My mom ended in the hospital after being there 7 days I told every case worker I know do not recommend this place How about leadership reach out to the patient Do not be
Ventana invited us to a lecture by Dr. Ken Cooper on Thursday 4/16/2026. We R.S.V.P.'d by phone. Upon arrival they could not find our name on the list and they refused us entry into the lecture! This happened with about 20 other invitees as well. The desk clerk. said they were full. I asked for them to simply put extra chairs at the back of the room to accommodate all 20 of us since it was their mistake about the clerical error of not recording the phone RSVP's. This was our first ( and now last) encounter with Ventana. Poorly run organization and lack. of customer service.
All personnel have been very helpful and kind. Therapy very helpful. And Josh the Administrator has been very helpful. Thank you for my stay and I would recommend others to Ventana.
My mom was here for 20 days. A huge thank you to Andrew with the transportation service department. Andrew was so kind to my parents. My mom truly loved talking to you. Thank you. Valerie with the same department was truly a blessing as well. You guys have a great team. Thank you for treating my mom so well. My dad was able to stay by my moms side each day. They feed my dad a meal each time. They had a bed in the room so they could be together. The nurses were great as well. This establishment was great to both of my parents. Thank you for having a great team! You guys are truly appreciate.
This place is not what it appears to be. Don’t trust all the positive reviews many of them are written by employees trying to boost the rating. The nursing staff here has been one of the worst I’ve experienced. ventana pays very low wages, which results in poorly trained or unmotivated nurses who don’t provide the level of care AL residents deserve. They also appear to prioritize residents in independent living, while others receive far less attention. Once someone insurance can no longer afford to pay for the room they are quickly pushed out rather than supported. On top of that, negative reviews seem to disappear, which makes the overall rating look misleading. Overall, my experience with this place has been extremely disappointing, and I would strongly caution others to look closely before considering it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS IS NOT THE PLACE
Ventana by Buckner Believe the crazy bad reviews of this place! My mom was staying here after having replaced her hip. For the first few week’s things were good. But I got a call on Friday at 4pm from the manager Maggie Nix. She wants a meeting to discuss my mother’s treatment. I immediately got up there for the meeting. She begins to tell me my mom’s condition will require more supervision. She wants me to pay for a dedicated attendant to help her in the morning and night, at my cost. The doctors and nurses all said this was unnecessary. But she is in charge. I was told I had till Monday to find another facility for my mom, or they were going to charge me, and the insurance would not pick it up. She told me she would give me a list of how I could go look at other facilities. I expressed my concern. I told her the facilities are typically closed on Saturdays and Sundays for tours and asked how this would happen. She had no answers. I went to visit my mom and had dinner with her. I stayed there till 8:30 that night. At 9:pm that night, Maggie sent orderlies into my mom’s room and woke her up, packed all her things into trash bags and then moved her to another floor. My mom was crying and very upset. I ran back up there to comfort her and tried to explain what was happening. She was very upset. We later found out; they wanted her out so they could have the room for one of their regular people upstairs. So be careful, your loved ones will never be as important to them as the people upstairs in their building. The next morning, I went to the first place on the list, Maggie Nix gave me. At this location there were cars backed up in the parking lot 3 deep doing drug deals. It was scary and dangerous. Just the kind of place I want to take my mom. What kills me is my mom has 2 insurances, Medicare and Tricare for life, both said what Maggie was doing is wrong. So, I did a bunch of work and found another location by Monday. When Monday came, they did not have the paperwork ready. They dragged it out all day and when we went to the new facility, they dragged their feet getting the paperwork there. My mom had trouble getting her medicine because they failed to send the paperwork in a timely manner. There is a lot mor to this story, but I’m running out of time and space to put it down. But on another note, today I got a bill from them telling me my mom went to the salon. These people are liars. My mom never went to the salon. I have tried calling several times and they won’t answer or return the call. I’m going to talk to my lawyer now. I have been informed this happens at Ventana. You need to check YELP and Google and see the reviews. VERY BAD PLACE IF YOU DON’T LIVE AT THE FACILITY FULL TIME. ************************* update. I got a call from these people about 2 hours after posting the review. This was after leaving several messages in the office and calling their cell phones direct. First thing they wanted me to know was, I was right, they had squeezed out my mom from their facility a day or 2 before they said she was in the Salon. So, they promised they would get this taken care of, and I would not have to pay. I was told by them the situation with my mom was nothing personal. Well, you made it personal when you emptied her closet and drawers, threw her things in the trash bags and moved her in the middle of the night. YOU WOKE HER OUT OF SLEEP to do this! The new location had no closet or drawer; all her stuff just sat on the floor in trash bags. There were no chairs for us to sit. If the move was so important, it should have been done in daylight hours and possibly while we were there for 4 hours after the meeting so it could be done smoothly. I could go on and on about this but google won't let me because of space. The story is much crazier than this. The management is the issue here. there is a big disconnect between them and the staff. It's all about the high dollar residents upstairs in this facility. You're just filling the bed till one of them needs it. Then they squeeze you out to make room for them.
Professional care, wonderful environment, clean, facility with a trained and caring staff to make the families feel welcome and your loved ones well taken care of or assisted with dignity and respect. Highly recommend.
