My stay at the Waterton was 6 weeks in the summer of 2026. It was like stepping back in time to 1989. They have seemingly not embraced any technology even though it would help patients and their caregivers. An antiquated communication system is used between patient and caregivers. When the patient pushes the call button, a light comes on outside the room and an electronic ding starts to sound and continues until someone in the patient's room turns it off. If the ding continues long enough, a nurse might come into the room and turn it off and tell the patient that the aide is busy and will get…

If the ding continues long enough, a nurse might come into the room and turn it off and tell the patient that the aide is busy and will get to them as soon as they can. Patient comfort did not seem to be a high priority. The fitted bedsheet had a texture that irritated the backs of my legs The pads that were used to soak up diaper leaks were thick quilted pads and the edges of the pads irritated the backs of my thighs. And worse, the bedpans have a thin edge that cut into my bottom. As for the food, the biscuits and cornbread were quite good as were most desserts. I found the chicken and dumplings to be revolting but most of the food was what you would expect including always overcooked vegetables. The good here is the caregivers who seem to care about the patients but who are stretched too thin having to answer patient calls to find out what is needed then having to go get what is needed. The nurses are very prompt with medications and willingly answer questions. The physical and occupational therapists were great and always encouraging. The Waterton could be a nice place if the board of directors would check themselves in anonymously and get the actual patient experience and make upgrades accordingly.

I cant really trust my grandma but she was home 6 days before she had to go back to the hospital for what she origanally ended up in rehab for. A raging uti she was there 26 days the staff was freindly enough they didnt answer call lights and she was supposed to off antibiotics. Which begs the question did they check before or did they even care. Shes was clean as far as i could tell she was fed the two basic things. The staff was freindly and accommodating. They set up out patient care.

After suffering a fractured femur, I was, not only in pain but depressed, as well. I thought, "I'll never be self-sufficient again". But then, I was blessed with the Dynamic Duo of Meagan and Shelby‼ Shelby has helped me re-learn how to dress and undress myself, regain my natural coordination, take care of my wounds/scars amongst other daily tasks. Meagan has helped me re-learn how to transfer - from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to toilet~ SAFELY. All while building up my core, especially lower body strength. I've NEVER been an exercise enthusiast, but I actually look forward to my…

I've NEVER been an exercise enthusiast, but I actually look forward to my doorbell ringing at 9:15am! They bring not only their skills, but happy spirits with them. I actually get to laugh again. It's fair to say that these ladies have helped me physically and spiritually. God's Grace is Good Lisa McCrea

I was at waterton rehab today, and ordered a lunch plate. It was so good the fish cooked just right. I also had a baked potato which was also good. Great to see our seniors getting taken care of like that.

If I could throw Waterton Nursing Home in the trash, I would. This place is straight garbage. The head nurse is trash, and the care my 72-year-old mother got was beyond disgusting. They let her leg get so bad it nearly rotted off, and now she has to have it amputated. No family should ever have to watch their loved one go through something like that because of neglect and incompetence. I would not recommend this place to anybody for any reason. Do not take your loved ones here. In my opinion, this place does not need to stay open, it needs to be shut down.

Kirby was very professional and helped me work at my capacity. Bethany is helping me to get my voice back and lets me work at my own pace- which I appreciate. I would recommend them to anyone who needs therapy.

Work with them daily very professional

I have been taking balance therapy at Waterton and it has helped me tremendously. Plus, I do exercises I would not do otherwise so it helps me all around. The staff is the best…kind, helpful and they make exercise fun. Give them a call.
