The on-site managers are very caring and treat us like family. They cook all our meals from fresh ingredients. The meals are very good. Our complex contains only 11 apartments. However, the property is on 8 acres with lots of deer. This is also an ideal place for long walks with my dog. The grounds are meticulously taken care of and always clean and welcoming. Unlike larger adult communities, we do not have a full activities schedule. We do have a large community room for Bingo, movies, crafts, and miscellaneous other activities. The people at West Oaks Independent Living Community were very nice. They showed us one of the rooms, but the problem was they didn't have transportation, and my mom doesn't drive. The facility was very nice. It's got a nice community room where they come together like either potluck or something like that and they can sit in there and play games or watch a movie together. We didn't see a lot of rooms, but what we saw was very nice. They keep the ground mowed and clean and they have a good place for someone to walk their dogs if they have a pet like my mom. It's not big. The community center…

It's not big. The community center is separated from the apartments. The facility looks great from the outside, and the one apartment we saw was very nice. I just met the gentleman, the husband, and we didn't see anybody else. He was very informative. He sat down politely and talked with us and shared with us about the place.
West Oaks is a small, friendly community with lots of outdoor space for walking my small dog and enjoying the wild deer herd. The location is ideal, very close to shopping, yet very open and very well cared for. The resident managers truly care about each resident in the community. Weekdays, breakfast and lunch are prepared on site by the managers and are served in the community dining room. Each meal is prepared with fresh ingredients and really delicious. Bottom line, I have zero regrets choosing to move to West Oaks.
This is a small operation in a larger small town. There are 12 apartments in four buildings and a combined manager apt, kitchen, and common area. There is a weekly exercise group and a somewhat regular movie day. The staff checks on you if you don't show for meals and don't let them know you aren't coming. What makes this a very good deal is the cost.
My wife and I are in West Oaks Independent Living Community. It's excellent. It's not as fancy as others, but it's nowhere near as expensive as others. The food is good. I live with my wife, so I share meals with her. Right now, they have a sit exercise kind of thing and every couple of weeks, movie days and stuff. It doesn't have as many amenities as most of them that we've looked at, but again, it's nowhere near as expensive as most of them we looked at. We're on the ground floor, and we have an 1100-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment, that's nice. It's a nice place to live. We're independent. We spend more of our time in our quarters, and it's good that way.
Love West Oaks for my Father in Law, the rooms and other people and the food along with the deer he feeds are the best.
West Oak has all the amenities needed for comfortable living. Very nice apartments with house keeping provided. They have programs for the residents ex: avoiding phone scams, music entertainment, Christmas parties, etc. Nice quiet neighborhood with friendly and helpful staff.
Well manicured landscape, clean facilities, spacious. Management keeps daily communication with tenants & always available.
