Avalon Memory Care

The overall experience, the friendliness of the staff, the quality of care and the meals and dining service all get a 5+. I feel so confident in the care that Merna is getting that I don't worry when I have to go a few days without visiting. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

We toured Avalon Memory Care - Timber Forest. It was very welcoming. My mother-in-law thought that everybody was nice. She liked the environment. The residents were great. The facility itself is very nice in terms of the way they have decorated the rooms. The rooms seemed to be a nice, ample size, especially for someone who only needs a room, a bed, and a bathroom. I like the fact that they have medical professionals on staff as well. We got the chance to see their great food, but we didn't get the chance to taste it. The dining area was fine. The only drawback I had was they don't have any transportation there. Karen was phenomenal. She's awesome. She was a lot of fun and she made my mother-in-law feel welcome and she's really good.

Dad really liked this place. The staff was so kind and communicated with us very well. We transported him here from out of state and the staff was extremely helpful in explaninging everything and helping me figure out what to do. They were so kind and I never saw them lose patience even though he could be quite challenging. During the course of his illness he had stayed in several different places and this was the only one that he liked.

They were a really good facility. Small and caring. The staff were all very caring. Even watching them with other patients I was impressed The food looked good but my father was stubborn and wouldn't eat. I would recommend them.

My wife was at Avalon for nearly 3 years. Each and every caregiver treated her with kindness and respect and most treated her as if she were a member of their own family. And for that I am grateful.
