My mother moved into Brookdale several months ago. The staff are excellent, and I would highly recommend Brookdale. Our first contact was with Haley, who gave us a tour and patiently answered all my questions. She kindly arranged for my mother to attend several activities. My mother moved into Brookdale several months ago. The staff are excellent, and I would highly recommend Brookdale. Our first contact was with Haley, who gave us a tour and patiently answered all my questions. She kindly arranged for my mother to attend several activities. This was a great help, so that when my mother moved in later, she had already met some of the other residents and was a little familiar with the building. Erica organizes the activities at Brookdale, and she does an amazing job. The activities are tailored to the interests and abilities of the residents. There is no pressure to join in, but if you want to, there is always lots to do. If my mother doesn’t show up for an activity that she usually attends, Erica notices her absence and will go knock on her door to see if she would like to come. The residents love Erica and she truly seems to care about them too. Any time I visit, the residents all seem to be happy. Most of them use walkers, and you might think they couldn’t do very much, but they have art classes, book club, live music entertainment, Friday happy hour, chair exercise classes, restaurant outings, bingo and other games, culinary club, and more. I once showed up when they were playing Wii Bowling. As each resident took their turn, Erica reminded them to lock the wheels on their walker and hold it with one hand while they bowled. The other residents would clap and cheer as each person took their turn. John is another employee who clearly cares about the residents. When he sees a way to be helpful, he steps right up before you even ask. When he saw my mother having a little trouble getting out of a rocking chair, he was immediately by her side to assist. When my mother goes upstairs to play games with her friends in the evening, she occasionally turns the wrong way off the elevator, but John is familiar with her routine and kindly takes her in the right direction. When he noticed us looking in the puzzle cabinet for a jigsaw puzzle to do together, he not only told us that there was another puzzle cabinet a bit further down the hallway, but he also returned a few moments later with a puzzle for us. John is always kind and patient and helpful, a real treasure. I could go on and on. Wanda, the concierge at the front desk, is unfailingly helpful. The chef is excellent, and my mother always enjoys her meals. Even the young man who came to empty the trash one day was very thoughtful – he had not seen my mother in the dining room at lunch time and checked to make sure that she had eaten lunch. My mother didn’t really want to move away from her house and into assisted living, but once she moved in she soon started having fun and said that she didn’t want to leave. She feels safe and happy there, and I know that she is well cared for. A big thank you to everyone at Brookdale!
I recently visited my mother-in-law during the community’s annual Christmas party, and I was so impressed. The facility felt incredibly warm and inviting, especially decorated for the holidays, and the food was delicious. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable. I had the chance to speak with one staff member who shared that he has been there for over ten years, which really speaks volumes—you don’t see that kind of longevity very often. It’s clear that this is a place where both residents and staff are valued. I’m very glad my mother-in-law is…

The staff in care bridge took really good care of my mom while she was there. Unfortunately she passed away in July. Brookdale owe the family a refund for the rest of the month that she wasn’t there. I have reached out to Mrs. Estrada in the billing department at the round rock Tx location every week and every way possible. Nothing but silence! BEWARE!!!!!
One of the caregivers (can't remember her name but she was Hispanic) was absolutely a gem. For the others that worked giving care I felt like any question I had was a bother. My mom moved in with dementia and in a great deal of pain. She was only there 4 weeks before she was asked to leave and I am not sure she ever got pain meds. If she did--it took at least 3 weeks. Admin-the admin staff was "nice" at first but not real helpful as we went on. The best thing they did was kick her out to a facility that was great for my mom given her capacity. She got IMMEDIATE help for pain and got very good care. Food- it seemed very good. Activities--Mom wasn't able/willing to do much. That's not on them. It was her dementia.
My parents will be moving to Brookdale Round Rock. The tour was very informative. We loved those wide hallways and how bright they were, and everybody we met in the hallways, clients and staff, was very friendly and outgoing. The rooms are very well set up for clients so that they can keep their independence as needed, but there's help available. The rooms are spacious enough to allow movement around with wheelchairs. The food was delicious. We were invited for lunch, and we had lunch there. We also went to their reopening ceremony last night, and the food and catering were fantastic.
I visited Brookdale Round Rock looking for a place for my mom. Erin showed me around and answered my questions. I could see straight away that her (and the staff's) main concern was for the residents there. The tour showed me what a wonderful option this would be for my 91 year old mother. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.
I placed my love one here because when I walked in I just knew it was exactly what we were looking for. I couldn't have been happier with the choice. The meals are great and I love that everyone is so active in the community. They are always doing something fun and entertaining! Even taking them to HEB and Walmart to get snacks or things they would like for between meals and personal items needed. Which means I don't have to keep up with it all the time for him. We even have him on a personal solutions plan which takes care of all personal inconvenience products and we don't have run around and make sure he has everything he needs for that as well. When we go we really just get to spend time with him and visit. We have even reserved the library to have a little birthday party for him where the family came and we all had a good time. With Dad being there we know he is in good hands. I like the way the pricing is set up so we only pay for the care that Dad needs.
When we first visiting Brookdale of Round Rock we went for the Elvis Event in January it was a nice Happy Hour with a Guest Elvis. He was entertaining and fun. Really engaging and there was lots of residents looking to have a blast attending. I can't wait to be able to move my loved one in when the time comes. Looks like a very active environment while still letting them live their best lives.
