Understaffed, unresponsive to families of residents. Assisted living care might be good here but the memory care is horrible. There is never enough staff. The schedule is erratic. Many of the care givers don’t speak English. When there are good and competent caregivers, they treat them poorly until they quit or they don’t give them many hours and they have to get a second job. Requests for basic care are ignored. There is no third shift of workers at night. They often don’t answer the phone. They don’t really care about the needs of the residents. The care was so lacking we had to hire our own personal caregiver for our family member. Management is unresponsive even at the corporate level. If you care about your loved ones, don’t put them here.

Beautiful community!!! Very welcoming and lovely residents and staff. Their Independent Living community is vibrant and filled with activity and so much joy - live music, good food and friendship. They have a beautiful pool area and all the ameneties you can imagine. Highly recommend!

I recently helped my 86-year-old mother move to Ledgestone from her home in Kentucky. The entire staff and so many of the residents here have been super friendly and welcoming in helping her to get accustomed to her new home. Katy Starr in particular really went above and beyond, from the initial contacts and two tours and in regularly following up with us during the multi-month process to getting this done. Mom and I are both really looking forward to seeing how things develop as she starts making new friends and participating in the many activities and reaping the benefits of being part of…

Wonderful staff who pay attention to each individual’s needs and preferences.

I have treated dozens of Ledgestone residents over the years. The thing they had in common was that they loved the community. They would talk about going on adventures and their besties, it was darling. Yes it’s absolutely beautiful and the views of the Texas hill country are breathtaking, yes the food is delicious (I hope someone invites me for lunch soon). What makes this place feel special are the residents. Also, touring with Laura and Katy is both fun and informative.

Took a tour for a family member. Katy Starr was so welcoming, friendly, and informative. She made our difficult decisions less stressful and gave us all the information we needed to make our decision.

My Brother and I took my Mom there for a tour for Independent Living. The place is very welcoming, clean and organized. Very nice decor and atmosphere. Some of the people we met there were very nice and friendly. Big one bedroom Apts. Lots of activities on the board. We met Kati there who showed us around. She was very welcoming. We also had lunch there which was excellent.

Wow.....We are now into the THIRD MONTH that there have been major elevator outages at Ledgestone Senior Living. There are three elevators. At least two (and sometimes all three!!) have been out at many, many times. The management says "we are working on it" but they also just said in a letter to residents 'we are trying to find another repair company', so they have not been working on it very hard if they are just now looking for another repair company. These poor residents -- some of them have huge problems walking -- they have to walk all the way around the building to get to the other side to access the working elevator. Many are in walkers. Then they take the working elevator up to the dining room. Since the working elevator is not near the dining room, they have to walk to the other side of the building. Eat. Then walk back to the working elevator. Take it to their floor. Then walk all the way back to their apartment. Doing this three times a day. It's way more than many of them can handle. How is it even legal or safe to have more than 200 elderly people in a huge building with only one (and sometimes none) working elevators? (prior entry/review): Ledgestone Senior Living is down to one elevator again today. This is for more than 200 residents. Many of these elderly people can't really walk from one end of the building to the other and then back again to get to the only working elevator. The dining room is on the 4th floor, so going up the stairs is not an option for most of them. On some days over the past two months, there has been no working elevator. Steer clear. Don't let your loved ones get marooned here. It's so sad.
