Great, personalized care. So many of the staff have worked there for years. I've visited many facilities and the care here is above all the rest so far.
Being one of the last of its kind (meaning) still traditional and family oriented they have took some toll with covid bringing forth the less then caring of individuals however they address issues and concerns immediately when brought to attention everyone there is more then happy to answer any questions or to point one in the direction of someone whom may have the answers and open door policy is an understatement Dee Owen's is an exceptional director and has a very large heart i encourage anyone having to face the decision to stop in here first
My wife has been staying in Southern Knights Senior Living Community. I've had some concerns on occasion, but overall it's been very nice and everything has been very good. She is in the memory care unit, which is in the same complex as their assisted living, but they're in two different buildings. She's very happy there, the food is really good, and the place is kept very clean. The nurse techs also seem to be very knowledgeable and willing to help in any way that they can. They have single rooms and shared rooms. My wife is in a shared one, which is basically just one big room with two…
My wife has been staying in Southern Knights Senior Living Community. My wife is in a shared one, which is basically just one big room with two beds, and a very large bathroom with a walk-in shower complete with seats. They try to have the residents exercise, play games, or watch TV. They try to keep the patients involved in any way they can. Some of them don't want to be involved, but the staff tries their best.
Having toured Assisted Living Facilities in Florida,Georgia and Texas, trying to find a good fit for our mom, Southern Knights checked all the boxes. It isn’t fancy, but it feels like home. Dee and the staff did an excellent job of taking care of mom’s needs. She felt loved and felt respected. The food was homemade daily, and good. They don’t have a high turnover rate like most Assisted Living facilities do. They worked well with me and my siblings and hospice to make sure she had everything she needed. Thank you Dee and staff for taking such great care of our dear mom. I miss her and miss visiting with the caregivers.
I would rate Southern Knights' memory care higher than five stars if possible. My father has been there for less than one month, but I am extremely pleased with the care he is getting. The staff is compassionate and cares about his well-being. The food looks and smells great. One of the med-techs, Lisa, is really top-notch and pays attention to his needs. He loves music and loves to dance, and the staff encourages him. The difference between Southern Knights and another nearby memory care facility is like the difference between day and night. I love this place and the staff.
There is no way I would bring my African American loved one to a facility that bears the name SOUTHERN KNIGHTS... sorry!! And fyi....you didn't have to put "southern " in front of "knights". I'm from Mississippi and everybody knows that southern knights is the kkk! CHANGE THE NAME! But then again.....you're making it perfectly clear what race of people you want in your facility....
My mother has been a resident at Southern Knights Memory Care for almost a year and I cannot say enough about how much better her life has become, how attentive and loving the entire staff are, and how the staff engage with the residents!!! I also want to thank Kameron Phillips for his tireless efforts to help me get my mom out of the hospital and skilled nursing facility and back home to SK and her friends, even wheeling her down the street back home the minute we got her discharged! I am eternally grateful for the love and support we have received and for the piece of mind that I've found having my mom at SK Memory Care. Every member of the staff there, regardless of their role, is so kind and helpful.
Southern Knights took awesome care of my mother for over 3 years. My mother was loved and her needs were met beyond what other facilities offered. Most of the employees seemed to truly have a heart for the residents. I would recommend Southern Knights to everyone.
