I previously gave this community a 4-star review because I felt there were some changes needed at the time. I am happy to update my review to 5 stars because so many things have improved. I truly feel safe and at home here. We now have a new chef, and the food is delicious every day. One of the best parts is not having to worry about daily chores because the wonderful staff takes such great care of everything for us. They are kind, caring, and always willing to help. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to call home.

My mom was a resident at The Blake Memory Care for 9 months before her passing. Mom had had bladder cancer for 8 years. Their care, professionalism and compassion gave me such peace of mind as I live 5 hours from Waco. Even when mom was in her final days, the staff brought us snacks and drinks as we sat with mom. I cannot recommend The Blake enough. Mom loved the staff and they loved her. This kind of care is rare.

I had a wonderful experience with The Blake at Waco. From the moment I visited, the environment felt warm, welcoming, and very well cared for. The staff is genuinely kind, attentive, and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and valued. What really stood out to me was the level of care and attention to detail. Everything is kept clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed, creating a space that feels both safe and uplifting. Everything is kept clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed, creating a space that feels both safe and uplifting. You can tell the team truly cares about the people they serve, and that makes all the difference. It’s not always easy to find a place you can fully trust with your loved ones, but The Blake at Waco gives that peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a supportive, high-quality community.

I have to say that this place has such a wonderful way with its residents. Before we even moved my mom in, they asked me to fill out a detailed bio about my mom, so they could know her better. They really do want to get to know your loved one so that they can best care for them. Moving someone with dementia into a new environment can be a difficult transition but they really do go the extra mile to support everyone involved. We have experienced two other locations with my mother, and of the three, this one gives me the most comfort and hope as my mom’s dementia progresses. Whenever she is having a hard day, they do their best to understand what’s going on and help her. I also really enjoy visiting with other resident when I visit her as well. The community feels inviting and welcoming, and the staff are always kind and helpful. I was there just yesterday and there was a new caregiver who introduced herself to me, and as I was leaving, she asked if next time I visit she could have a moment of my time to learn more about my mom. That really touched my heart because it makes me feel like they really do want to know her and better understand her. Haley, the executive director — She always listens when there’s any issue, big or small. She’s a good problem solver. She’s helpful and kind I’m really impressed by the level of care I’ve seen at The Blake. Happy we moved here.

Terrible! It’s rare for a 1 star, but I had a Fall with 2 of their staff, who couldn’t keep from injuring/ training?? Food was good, but always Cold. (Short)Staff was uncaring, and the buzzer didn’t work. Seems like upper mgmt is cutting corners. I exited after less than 2 weeks.

I visit five different senior living facilities regularly "to bring joy for the moment" to those who need special love. The Blake has an outstanding employee named Diane who absolutely goes out of her way to greet the public but also to visit personally with those residents who walk by the front desk. The first impression that Diane makes on the public is invaluable, and it is my pleasure to commend her for her kind and caring spirit. The Blake is wise to have chosen Diane as a faithful employee.

I want to express my appreciation to those staff members of The Blake at Waco for their willingness to stay overnight during the Winter storm of January 24 -26, 2026 to be available to do their jobs.In addition I want to praise the staff for their caring service to the residents during this difficult time in the weather. Sincerely, Paul Taft, assisted living resident
