As soon as I walked in to Village Care for the tour I was greeted. I was in an open concept kitchen/living/dining area. The residents were making crafts and someone had brought baby bunnies for them to hold. I could tell right away they were happy!! [name removed] , gave me a tour and sat and talked with me. She answered all of my questions! She's sweet, funny and very caring!! Once my Mom was moved in they would stay in touch with me and even sent me a few pictures. Village Care Homes Assisted Living was recommended by hospice when the dementia my mom had was becoming more than I could handle. Mom enjoyed the activities, meals, and staff, but when she didn’t want to participate, that was ok too. I could leave her and know she was well cared for. The staff was very attentive to her needs, and she was clean and well fed. The burden of caring for her alone was lifted from me, and I could just be a daughter to her and care for her emotional well being. Any concerns I had were taken care of promptly. Village Care Homes Assisted Living was recommended by hospice when the dementia my mom had was becoming more than I could handle. Mom enjoyed the activities, meals, and staff, but when she didn’t want to participate, that was ok too. I could leave her and know she was well cared for. The staff was very attentive to her needs, and she was clean and well fed. They take good care of my mom and others I feel with a homey atmosphere. Tables set and name cards, etc. Cleaning of the rooms could be better and food is fair. I believe they need to serve more healthy food to older people... not sausage, onions and peppers. Breakfasts are good. Lunch and dinner A LOT of pasta.
Our family friend’s mom has lived at Village Care Homes for last couple of years. We enjoy visiting and following them on Facebook. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We like the Village Care Homes, the staff members are being patient with our loved one and really trying to do their best to work with her and our family. Our loved one can be difficult at times and they are trying their best.
I have witnessed the exceptional care provided at Village Care over many years. I have seen first-hand how thoughtful and experienced caregivers work diligently to provide a loving and comfortable environment. The facility is well managed and of high quality. There are so many fun activities! I love seeing the smiles of the residents! At Village Care Homes Assisted Living, LIFE is celebrated! (5 Star recommendation)
My mother lived at this home for about two years until her passing. The residence is very comfortable and the staff very accommodating. Even during the issues of COVID, they worked to make visits possible under very safe and controlled settings. As my mother approached her time of passing, they worked with the family to allow us opportunities to visit mom. I can highly recommend Village Care Homes on N. Eldridge Pkwy.
