Westminster presents such a wide range of offerings: from concerts of the highest quality, to lectures and transportation to opera, theater and symphony performances, as well as to museums and historic places. Every day it seems there is something interesting to attend, to visit or explore. Bravo Westminster!
We had decided to move to Austin from New York to be with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We didn't want the responsibility of being homeowners again and were extremely fortunate to have found Westminster. A warm and friendly CCRC that has everything you could possibly want or need. In retirement, we are particularly interested in pursuing our passions. Michele's was classical music and mine was writing. Michele is amazed and thrilled with the high caliber artists who perform in our hall and on our Steinway grand piano. We've heard Anton Nel twice, renown pianist, as well as…
We had decided to move to Austin from New York to be with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We've heard Anton Nel twice, renown pianist, as well as members of the Austin Chamber Music group, featuring their competition winners. We've heard many fine musicians who are Doctoral candidates at UT, as well as many other groups playing jazz, folk music, blue grass, country music and a swing band for dancing. There are many bus trips to the symphony, theater, opera and ballet performances, as well as to museums, natural and historic sights. There are many interesting programs given about a variety of subjects in our hall. It has been a good introduction to our new city and state. I write and have had two of my pieces published in the Westminster Writer's Journal. I lead a Writers Group and enjoy attending and participating in the Poetry Reading Group. Our 3-year-old granddaughter loves coming to the Easter egg hunt and party with balloons and face painting, as well as seeing Santa at the Christmas party. We'd like to thank Westminster for helping us pursue our passions in our retirement years. Peter and Michele Rodrigues
We’ve been living at this CCRC for the past year. It was a big transition to move here and get settled. It was worth it! We have friends, the food is great, and our apartment is comfortable. There are plenty of fun activities—plus we can create our own. It’s great not having to maintain a home anymore. We can come and go easily. Traveling is simple since we don’t have to worry about things like lawn care, frozen pipes or home security. The staff is friendly, respectful, and genuinely fun to be around. There’s a lot of laughter and appreciation shared between residents and staff. It’s a warm,…

Life at Westminster is a non-stop adventure! We’ve got a calendar that’s absolutely bursting at the seams, thanks to the 'Dream Team' of Ruth and Maria who curate an incredible mix of events—everything from educational workshops to great evening social mixers. Our evening programs are the place to be if you want to mingle and catch up with friends, and the daytime group outings are always a total blast! Ruth is a total rockstar—she’s always listening and goes above and beyond to make our wish lists a reality. My top pick? The trips to the Austin Table Tennis Club. It’s high energy, great exercise, and so much fun!
Moving to Westminster was the best decision we could have made. Kind and interesting neighbors and a campus that is established and well maintained. Even a whole team devoted to engaging, entertaining and enlightening activities. Life is fun again!
My husband and I have lived here at Westminster for two years and are very grateful. At first, we had some adjusting to do, but we soon realized that we are in a large family. Everyone here is special and caring. As in every family, it is hard to lose a family member. It is a difficult time when someone passes because we all care. We have so many opportunities to stay healthy and happy. For example, hobbies, trips, live musical programs, daily exercise programs and educational lectures. Most importantly we have excellent care as needed and a safe home because of the superior staff and workers at Westminster. Arlene Mattingly
We have taken our time adjusting to the big change moving into a place like Westminster involves, and sometimes find ourselves missing our home of many years and the total independence of younger ages. That said, we cannot think of a better retirement community than Westminster, and are enjoying the very excellent events, trips, and classes offered here, plus the varied talented and interesting community of our neighbors and the exceptional staff we are getting to know. Thank you!
Westminster not only provides my basic needs with delicious meals, a health care clinic, building maintenance, and fitness classes, but also with numerous programs for learning and entertainment under the direction of Ruth Sunil, our Community Life Services Director. She not only plans events for every month but also welcomes requests and ideas from residents. I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of this wonderful place.
