My Mother was been in Royal Manor for two and a half years. She was been giving the best care, very good food and the nursing staff in wonderful. They dealt with my mother who may not always be the nicest person and with Alzheimer's disease made it more difficult and a sibling that was even more difficult to deal with. At the end for my mother the nurses cryed because they cared!
My father was admitted to this facility by Lori Smith, nurse practitioner. He was admitted for therapy due to a fall from a stroke. This place should be shut down in my opinion. It looks as though it has never, ever had any money put into it. The beds are still crank-style, the mattresses are awful, the wheelchair he was furnished was so old that the arms were cracked which caused much discomfort to his arms. There are exposed wires from the television which seems very unsafe when you are at risk of falling. And sadly, as poor as the furnishings are, the care is worse. My sister went to visit…
My sister went to visit my father one day and he was sitting in his wheelchair covered in feces with his soiled bed linens IN HIS LAP! The staff was in the process of changing his linens but didn't remove the soiled mattress, they were just putting the clean (?) sheets on top of the mattress. I went by one day and asked them to empty his urine bag because it was full and it took well over an hour and 2 more requests to get that done. My father was removed by EMT's and taken to the hospital where he had such a severe UTI, he had strep and e-coli in his urine, it required several days of hospitalization. I think the most disturbing thing that happened is that when the EMT's came to remove him, they were first denied entrance into the facility. Upon leaving with my father one of the staff members is shouting at my 82 year old mother that she would be receiving a bill! I cannot believe our senior citizens are treated this way and I cannot believe that the State of Texas gives them an "average" rating. The owners should absolutely be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of Medicare/Medicaid and not putting ONE PENNY into this facility. It is beyond disturbing. By the way, my sister has documentation, photos, etc. to support this complaint.
My mother was not treated well at this place
I think to stay Waco Cyti for 2011 years ago.
