I love the staff! They are all friendly and answer any questions I may have. My mom enjoys the staff as well and she likes it when they paint her fingernails.
My experience today was awesome at Woodway Rehabilitation &Healthcare. The kiosk was very easy-to-use and the front nurse's station staff was very professional. My visitation went well with my friend. I was very satisfied.
This place failed on every level. My mother was there in 2021. Prior to her admission, I toured the facility and asked several specific questions related to the level of care that my mom needed. I was assured that they were able to meet her care needs. Upon admission, my mom sat in her wheelchair for over 4 hours with no oxygen. In that time she spilled the soup they gave her on herself and failed to clean her up while she still had no oxygen. They brought her to an appointment with a tank of oxygen that went out in 30 min. Luckily my stepdad brought her some because they weee not able to.…

In that time she spilled the soup they gave her on herself and failed to clean her up while she still had no oxygen. They brought her to an appointment with a tank of oxygen that went out in 30 min. Luckily my stepdad brought her some because they weee not able to. The last day she was there, my mom’s oxygen saturation was 86% and they refused to call a doctor. I called EMS and she was taken to the hospital and admitted. I chose to bring her home and care for her along with family. Do not let your loved one go there. It was a terrible experience for our family. They failed to meet all the needs that they said they could meet. My mom would have died there had we not intervened.
I went to visit my uncle this morning and I was furious at their level of care. Zero bedside manner, the CNA’s were extremely rude. I had to ask 4 times for someone to come and assist him to get back into his bed because he was in pain and 3 times they were told his stomach was bothering him but nobody seemed to care. Upon placing him in his bed, it was obvious he was hurting but they continued to just be very abrupt in them moving him over. Never did they ask if he was comfortable or needed anything. It sickens me how these people get into the business of caring for people yet really don’t care at all and it shows. This place should be shut down.
hile visiting Waco, I came to see a woman who is very dear to my family, and while the center is visibly beautiful, the experience with the front desk staff was extremely disappointing. We arrived around 6:00 PM and there were no visible signs explaining that the door would be locked at certain times or how visitors were supposed to enter. We stood outside for a few minutes waiting and trying to figure it out until we finally heard the door unlock. Once inside, the three of us walked past the reception desk and were met with nothing but stares. No greeting, no acknowledgment, no “can I help you?”—nothing. Mind you, I was with my mother and another elderly family member, and we were clearly there visiting, not causing confusion or disruption. The visit itself was fine, and one nurse who came in to bring medication was pleasant. However, when it was time to leave, the same issue happened again. We went to the door, followed the instructions to press and hold for 15 seconds multiple times, and still could not get out. The front desk staff clearly saw us struggling and said absolutely nothing. No offer to help, no direction, no concern. I finally had to walk back to the desk and ask how to open the door. Only then did one of the ladies get up and say, “Let me get that for you,” as if she had not just watched us trying to get out for several minutes. That level of poor customer service is unacceptable, especially in a place that serves seniors and their families. Waco has always been known to me as a friendly place where people speak, help, and show basic kindness. That is exactly why this experience was so off-putting. If someone lacks the social skills, patience, or courtesy to properly work the front desk, then they truly need to be placed somewhere away from direct interaction with visitors and families. It was unfortunate because I came in expecting much better, and because of this experience, I will not be returning
Went there for our aunt's 103 birthday. It was a very nice place, the employees I meet were friendly, everything was clean. We enjoyed the visit.
I cannot begin to say enough good things about our families experience. The staff went above and beyond in my opinion. The communication was top notch & with the upmost compassion. The director and her immediate staff were professional, prompt and so compassionate and supportive. The past reviews in my opinion don’t do it justice by any means.
I moved my aunt from an assisted living facility to the Woodway Center. She wanted to see people in the halls and wanted to know that people were there to check on her. They absolutely do check on her multiple times a day, she raves about the food. She is 96and slowly loosing some of her eyesight due to macular degeneration. She is more at peace than she has been in months.
